Poor old Marlon seems to be heading for a fall in the old love department yet again.His entirely inappropriate crush at work is bound to end in disaster, bless him, I do love Marlon, but look at his competition in this one ,a drop dead gorgeous, strapping farmer, he's got no chance.

I am so over the disasters to hit Emmerdale and last night's crap fest just showed Gavin Blyth up to be as equally lazy as the last two producers. Give character driven plotlines please.

John Middleton and Sian Reeves were dire last night. I know most people think Sally is a brilliant villain, so did I, but Sian is too panto for my liking.

I think the only way for Leyla to wipe that smug grin Nathan's Nasty evil face, and stop the blackmail is if she tells David she was taken to bed against her will, or that Nathan had spiked her drink in order to get her to bed. (date rape Drug) and then has blackmailed her into keeping quiet, That will set her free from Nathan and free to Marry that gorgeos David of hers.

Has anyone who writes for Emmerdale had any experience of factory work?

Where do these toffees/sweets magically appear from?

How come the essential PA (flame haired beauty Faye) can swan off to Barbados at the drop of a hat?

Does anyone else agree that Emmerdale exists only on a paralell universe, as suggested by Philip Pullman?

Charity ruined Cain

I always said he was a more interesting character than her, but since she came back he doesn't have scenes with anyone else. And this sudden falling in love with her is ridiculous. The storylines lately look like they've been chopped down and rushed. Sort it out Gavin, you can't half-arse your way through the Xmas.

Which characters would you write out?

Well, Gavin seems to have got rid of a few weaker characters who never really gelled with viewers like Lily, Jake, Mick and Lee (though the latter two, I felt, had potential) but if I was to be bold, I'd give Lexi King, Scarlett Nicholls, Bob Hope, Terry Woods, Brenda and Gennie, Jamie Hope and Sam Dingle the axe. I think this lot are the weaker set of characters, who are dragging the show down a wee bit.

Who would go on your list?

Cheer loudly when Layla Kneed Nathan in his gentlemans region? Lol

I've been waiting for Nathan to get his commupance for a while and what better way to do it than with a classic knee to the nuts! And what a knee it was!

Loved how he had a squeaky voice afterwards and did anyone notice when he spun round after being kneed you could see his #### crack! Double humiliation!

I'm confused by this one. I know we've all seen it coming but it still have no clue where the writers picked it from. It's a mediocre storyline with three of the least cared about characters in the show. Saying that, I kind of like David but for me a great big runaway bus could come crashing through the village and run over Nathan and Layla, so maybe the deserve each other and David could be with a nice girl ... someone like Gennie

I suppose they split Ashley and Laurel up, its so obvious. Ashley is being totally unprofessional. I love Laurel and Ashley characters and they work very well together. I know she is pregnant in real life, but couldnt they get her to visit her mother for a few months.

For crying out loud get rid of the writers, this thing with Ashley unbelievable, Carl and Cain unbelievable, half of the plots unbelievable, its getting to be a fantasy world rather than a soap that tries to portray village life, to put it in a nutshell its getting unwatchable, which is a pity as it used to be the best soap on the telly next to the bill.

I watched a scene the other night with the Wylde family in there kitchen supposedly doing the 'family interaction' thing and it was dire. All actors struggled completely to play the 'family' but it was so disjointed and false. Amanda D was appalling and it just did not gel. What do others think

Just checked out latest pics (pics I saw weeks ago) and Cain/Charity fighting/kissing... feels like Gavin Blyth's new production team is just reliving past storylines they weren't in charge of five years ago.

Mark/Faye kissing in the woods, where the flip did that come from? It's almost like the writers changed storylines really quickly.

Having watched Friday's edition of EastEnders, I realised how bad Emmerdale still is. It's not bold, it's not fresh, it's not raw. It's still the same old predictable and rushed serial drama, which doesn't win awards. And when it doesn't, half the cast take to their Twitter accounts to *** about the shows that do get the awards.

Was wondering if anyone knew why a couple of scenes have been cut or changed from Emmerdale episodes. There was one a while back with Cain and Faye in the Woolie that had been cut and in tonights episode there was supposed to be Jai and Faye together in the pub making Mark uneasy but instead they changed it to her and Ryan. Anyone know anything??

what do ppl think of this storyline? its strange charity is going to marry this man but never says to him oh btw i have a daughter and granddaughter. but then debbie did not get a invite to the wedding

but it just happens that michael meets debbie and starts a affair with her. does anyone else think that michael knows debbie is charity daughter and is been a total *** by having a affair with her. charity has to find out and thats why the wedding does not happen?

and debbie needs to get some morals i CANT believe she would be with a man who she knows is with someone else even if it is just 4 fun

Faye and Ryan (along with Natasha, Mark, Maisie, Nathan, John, Moira, the Sharmas) have brought me back to Emmerdale, and I expect a lot of other people who were eager for new things in the show.

Kim and James are great additions. Long may they stick around.

Hi, Just on a whimsical note, I have had a few thougts about the B&B of late:

1. Who cooks the breakfasts?

2. Why, when Terry ran it single-handedly for ages, is he now moaning about struggling to cope when Pollard won't help?

3. I also think that more could be made of it and guests maybe brought into the fray for short storylines, seems a bit of a waste really.

Is Charity going to be Michael's fiancee? (Debbie's illicit boyfriend)

Could it be possible that Charity enters the village again as she's recently engaged to 'someone'? And could that someone be Michael who's secretly having a fling with Debbie - what a situation. Debbie is seeing Michael, who could be engaged to Charity, who is Debbie's mum to Cain, who may end up with Faye who is mum to Ryan who works for Debbie. Twists and turns ...

I don't believe Marlon fancies Moira but I do believe Moira's husband will have a dalliance very soon ...

I also think wouldn't it be good if Paddy takes back Aaron under his wing. Best acting for a while this week Padster!
