Why is Gray supporting Perdy? Partly guilt and partly because he still loves her.  Always has and always will.

Putting aside the bisexuality, the lying, the gambling and the untrustworthiness, it would have to be Gray.   The man cooks, paints, does plumbing and has lovely eyes.
