• Re: What would you change............

Bring retirement age back down to 60 for women and 65 for men to enable the youth to gain employment and reduce unemployment. The savings made from lower unemployment could pay for pensions. Engaging young people in employment and training is a priority for this country.

  • Re: They say the councils are poor, yet they have millions to invest!!

Maybe we should all stand up for our rights and oppose this intended increase, I for one would refuse to pay it and hopefully most others would do also. Maybe we should have a referendum instead of being typically british and just whinging and then just paying up. How good would it be to stand together on this one. If I had spent ...

  • Re: Jackie's disgraceful insult to Kelly Brook on the show today

England too politically correct - you are so right thats is the problem here. I remember the times when we could feel free to laugh at ourselves whether we were fat, thin, bald, irish, scottish, a different nationality, whatever the difference it didn't matter. Now people are too afraid to be lighthearted and poke a bit of fun at each ...

  • Re: Repossession, Repossession, Repossession

I have a work friend who has just paid £1,400 for a 'all inclusive holiday' for herself and 2 children (which of course with the interest will cost her more). Her attitude is to live for today. She says she could never take her child on holiday in Britain? I just don't get it. If I can't afford a holiday abroad then I ...

I hope you are also claiming Council Tax rebate. Crazy isn't it if you were new to the country you would get more help.

You may be better shopping in store rather than the website. I have found different garments instore to what is on the websites. They must only put a percentage of their range of clothes on the website. Good luck hope you find it.

  • Re: Taxing the Poor to benefit the Rich.

You are so right they all promise the earth to get you out of your comfy sofas to go and vote for them then in the next hand they spend your taxes to furnish their 2nd homes. Whats the point they have all already ruined this country no industry no pride.

My Mother-in-law worked for a woman who is an Optician and her husband an accountant and they had 2 children. They gave their 2 children the Child Benefit for pocket money?? They obviously did'nt need the money. Why people who earn so much get it I will never understand.

I know I am 200 pounds a year out of pocket. Plus I only got 2% pay rise last year and just about everything has gone up. Just started an additional new part time job for extra money may have to start another now (although I will be giving more to the taxman)
