• Re: Team order and clear one

Had Kovalianen gone on to finish 2nd then yes Mclaren should be punished as it was a clear team order but he didn't, he finished 5th. The fact is that letting hamilton by was the best decision for the team as they collected alot more points and that is all the justification that they need.

  • Re: Time for a change of driver......

Nobody could have done anything to prevent Hamilton passing them in that position. Lewis was significantly faster than Massa and would have passed him on the inside or outside. Massa was thinking that by taking the racing line under braking that he could have switched underneath and got better traction out of the corner but instead he was pushed ...

  • Re: Congratulations Lewis

Great drive from Lewis. Last 2 races have been performances which have been worthy of a world champion. With mclaren now ahead of Ferrari in the developement race Hamilton is now the favourite for the title in my eyes. The issue of team orders by mclaren is not a big deal as Kovalianen was clearly not quick enough to keep Hamilton behind him ...

  • Re: I am sure a Ferrari driver held someone up in qualifying?

It was mentioned by the commentry but i don't think it affected anything as it was on a straight and well away from the braking zone. Kovalainen's incident was clearly obstruction as it was right on the braking zone and webber clearly had to get out of it. Although saying that, after what happened in Monza 06, the stewards do tend to make some ...

  • Re: DC thinks you are only as good as your last race!

I think he was refering more to the media. Since the last race Hamilton has had a lot of bad press. i was reading The Sun the other day and it called him a 'Pit-lane plonker'. The tabloids are always like this, after Monaco he was a hero now he's a plonker.

  • Re: 5 Standout drivers in the first 1/3 of the season

Fisichella has done quite well. Has outperformed Sutil for the majority of the season although the last two races have not gone quite as well. In qualifying he has been close to getting into Q2 a couple of times and has shown consistency in the races especially Bahrain and Spain where he was able to keep quicker drivers like Hamilton and Heidfeld ...

He's dominated his team-mate in qualifying, had consistent pace in the race and for me he was the driver of the day in Monaco as he put in a mature, mistake free drive. Last ...

  • Re: What could have been?

Having only watched F1 since 1994, the biggest decision for me was Schumacher going to Ferrari in 1996 when he could have gone to Williams who had the best car at the time or Mclaren whose new engine partner Mercedes would have loved to see MS drive for them.

  • Re: How much does a driver deserve to earn per race?

champalonso: Interesting thread this. When I first read the question, sorry but I thought: ''What a silly question?''. But now, having read what everyone has said, I think it is impossible to answer. So we have the element of danger - yes, but it's nowhere near as dangerous as it used to be and we have to remember that these ...
