• Re: Judgement on Tony - heartless murder or crime of passion???

Probably because women are designed to be life-givers and are supposed to be nurturing and caring. Could also be because the scriptwriters are mainly men? btw the fact that Tony didn't actually commit the murder should mean he gets a lighter sentence than if he'd done the dead himself shouldn't it? ...

  • Re: Roy and Tony

Poor Tony - never got the credit for handing himself in. He was an idiot for doing so imo. What was the point? Didn't make Maria feel any better, certainly didn't make him feel any better. His conscience is with him wherever he goes anyway so it isn't going to go away even in prison. Despite attempts to make amends nothing could have made up ...

  • Re: Judgement on Tony - heartless murder or crime of passion???

So not to different after all (i.e. both planned heartless murder coupled with crimes of passion).. Although Richard Hillman planned to murder Emily would he have done so had he not been interrupted? The fact he had previously killed his wife and later killed Maxine (although neither were planned) suggest he was quite capable. Tony Gordon on ...

  • Re: Where do they get the money from????

Someone on the web-chat last night suggested Gray O'Brien (aka Tony Gordon) next project should be Shakespeare ''should I compare thee to a summer's day. Och aye the noo Jimmy'' . If I remember rightly Jack P Shepherd (aka David Platt) was considering Shakesepare last year ''Shall I compare thee to a summer's day our lass''. Na best leave that ...

  • Re: Roy and Tony

buttercupgirl:Cop out, Tony jumped in to save Roy. I dont actually think this was very believable. Should have left Roy to swim with the fishes - heh heh heh. Well if he had done, we wouldn't be so disappointed to see him leave. Don't want another totally callous villain like Alan Bradley or Tracy Barlow. If he'd had to kill Liam ...

  • Re: Two murderers in one Street

buttercupgirl: Hear hear, Tony had loads more stories and mileage in him and yet they keep stale old characters like Clurr and Ashley, Div Alahan. Janice Battersmouth and the very uninteresting Jessie. Madness. I suppose if the actor wants to leave fair enough they can't really do much about that but why kill off the ...

  • Re: Two murderers in one Street

Three if you count Tracy Barlow. The thing about Tony Gordon though is he didn't actually commit murder himself - he paid someone else to do it. His attempts had murder came to nothing. Should have got rid of Simple Stape and kept Gorgeous Gordon. Even Alison King (aka Carla) is returning. Why do the most ...

p.s. I see on the live chat that people are calling for Tracy Barlow to return. Please no - the reason I stopped watching Corrie was because of her. She is one callous character and I should think her's was nothing but a heartless murderer - only one dimension to her character. Hope she's never brought back.

  • Re: Judgement on Tony - heartless murder or crime of passion???

Difficult to say. A bit of both really. He didn't really express any remorse at Liam's death - except in terms of the consequences. Had it worked out with Carla and she had miraculously stopped loving Liam and truly loved Tony more he would probably have been fine with that. I don't think Richard Hillman was a heartless ...

So Jeckyl wins out after all. This isn't on - we should despise murderers (shouldn't we?).
