Agree that they need to concider appointing permanent stewards, but also think the FIA need to review their whole organisation. They have shown inconsistancy at many levels which is making them look foolish. Theyare supposed to be the governing body of international motorsport, but they aren't doing that every well at the moment. ...

Sir Jackie Stewart sums it up well with his criticism of the governance of the FIA. There is no bias or conspicy working within the FIA just incompetence. The stewards are amateurs, passing judgments that they are not qualified to make. The FIA had an oportunity to show that they are in control of the sport and put this matter to ...

Totally agree with this thread. I joined a little while back to discuss F!. I haven't posted recently as I'm not interested in bashing any team or driver. Racing is the important thing and I'm happy for the winner irrespective of the team and driver I support.

Drivers I'd like to see include Emerson Fittipaldi, Ronnie Peterson, Jody Schekter, Nikki Lauda, Nigel Mansell, and of course Ayerton Senna. The car dosn't matter as long as its a front runner, but seeing as I have chosen 6 drivers I'd put EF & NL in a Mclaren, RP & NM in Ferrai & JS AS in BMW's.

Anything with a big engine gets my interest, so cars, bikes, boats and planes included. Was switched onto power many years ago at school when they showed a film of top fuel drag racing. I now drive my wife and son mad with watching these sports at every opportunity

Hopefully it will encourage the aero engineers to solve the problems rather than bolt another bit on the car. These wing/winglets may give a working solution, but it hasn't dealt with the overall issue of car stability/balance with them. I do agree that its time they went, the current Honda looks dreadfull.

Second that stigga. What ever happened to the fund the FIA were talking about to help struggling teams such as Super Aguri. These ''back of the grid teams'' need supporting as they enable new young drivers a shot in the top class of racing. Similarly the sport needs new teams to challenge the mid to top end of the grid.

Totally agree this is a sad loss to the grid. It seems to me that the FIA prize money could be spent helping ''back of the grid teams''. Ferrari, Maclaren and the front runners are all big budget teams and then get a hefty payout from the FIA. I accept that the money is a prize and reward for putting together a championship ...

How about changing the rule to allow teams to prove their fuel situation to the race steward to avoid a penalty if they have to stop when the pit lane is closed. I'm sure that if the rule is stopped the top teams will revert back to taking any advantage they can fro the SC being out, which is why the rule was introduced. Doesn't need a ...

Thnnk that Louise Goodman may want to take issue with your comment that you have never seen a female F1 commentator anametoremember
I remember Jiovana Amati. Unfortunately she didn't get onto the starting grid, it was back in the 107% days. It wasn't her fault though as she was contracted to her Italian team until the end of ...
