Patrick Head has also been reported as saying after the FOTA meeting and the announcement that Ferrari made stating all teams were in support of pulling out that the ONLY teams considering it were Ferrari and Toyota. Great way to pull the rug from under them!

I can't see it happening. The reason the majority of manufacturers are not in F1 is because of the extortionate budgets needed to compete competitively. The propose budget cap will help solve this problem and a rival series will just create the same problem and therefore have the teams restricted from entering again.

The new teams are only entering due to the budget caps. If the FIA cave in to the protesting teams led by Toyota and Ferrari then these teams will prob not continue with they're entry. So we have a choice keep it as it is and have a few teams pull out over the next few years due to extorionate costs of running competitively, effectively ruining ...

I have always taken the view that if I am going to shell out a few hundred quid on a weekend watching F1 then it is going to be as part of a 10 day jolly in the sun somewhere! Come on! f1 is not karting on a wet weekend in Kimbolton! Go abroad for the glamour and meet the foreign fans!
