• Re: What happens to Alonso then?

This is not the first time renault have been found guilty of cheatting, during the whole ferrari mclaren spygate thing renault were found to have all the plans and details of the 2006 and 2007 mclaren far more information than mclaren had from ferrari and they were found guilty and not punished, so lets hope this time they are punished as much as ...

  • Re: Will Spanker Ban the BrawnGPs?

ferrarisb:I think this weekend has highlighted a big issue in F1. If a driver is aware of something wrong with their car (e.g Alonso thought he had a puncture) they should not be trying to limp back to the pits therefore endangering other drivers, they should just pull off somewhere safe, tough luck if it ruins their race!! Barrichello was ...

  • Re: What a shambles

All the teams have their own timing abilities and i think the cars do as well cause every one knew their time as we seen with alonso trying to find out where he was. so race control will just ask for their timings this is assuming it wasnt just a display issue it is entirely posible the timings were still running and it just wasnt on the screens

  • It Nearly Happened Again

Was it just me that thought oh god not again when they saw Massa. Hope he is ok and can race tomorrow, he seemed ok being taken in to the medical centre moving his arms etc. On that note who is Ferrari's reserve driver?

  • Re: cockpit coverings?

asanator:Have just seen the video footage, he was very unlucky, I think the wheel tethers should be looked at for that formula, but other than that it was just one of those freak things that occasionally happen. A terrible shame. No need to go starting silly ideas like cockipt canopies for the driver to get trapped in ...

  • Re: Does Anyone Know...

xlabratx: l12mcg:Sadly after further reading i can confirm that Formula Two Cars have the exact same tether system and head protection standards as in Formula 1 and I think GP2 as well, which means this could happen again in any of top open wheel racing classes Strange though, you see an incident like that in f1 all the time and the ...

  • Re: Does Anyone Know...

I would guess it was the wheel the impact with the barrier was quite a light hit by formula one standards and the F2 cars have the same saftey specs as F1 cars

  • Re: Does Anyone Know...

Yes i just read that aritcle my self and was about to post here very sad news and this coming only 1 day after his first F2 podium. It does raise some very serious saftey questions about the ciruit and the cars in formula two. i cant help but think if the barriers were further from the track at Westfield bend Clarkes car would have slowed a great ...
