• Re: Nelson Piquet Needs to Go - He Has Been a Disaster for F1...

NP hasn't been a disaster, youre thinking of that eartquake in China. Unfortunately coming from A1 which is vastly inferior he hasnt been able to make the step up yet. What does he have in his favour - still learning for sure, probably not being paid a lot and seems to be able to work with alonso. He will see the season out i hope, as for costing ...

  • Re: Fernando The Great

Was it irony that it was Heidfeld that he hit at monaco? It was heidfeld that kept getting in his way last year by qualifying (light) in front of him a few times....maybe just coincidence. Anyway thats twice now in the wet he made crucial mistakes, last year at Fuji cost him the championship. He needs to practice his wet weather skills methinks.I ...

  • Why Why Why Fernando?

FA's attempt to pass heidfeld had me hanging my head in disbelief. I thought his radical strategy, only one other driver on full wets, was a good call but he showed no patience when following heidfeld and ruined both drivers races as a result. Did he give away a potential podium spot in that manoevre or at least P4 as he had already passed ...

  • Re: Piquet. Not looking good is it?

Thats rediculous, Alonso has no control over Piquets' setup, his confidence or his general state of mind. Piquet has a big name to live up to and clearly isn't doing that right now, that is affecting his confidence and therefore his next results, its a downward spiral for him. We dont know how much genuine support from within the team there is but ...

  • Re: "You'd Think Fisi Would Know Better"

MMM,lets see, everyone in the thinking world knew there was going to be a first corner incident(s), so if Fisi was already at the back of the field why not back off early so he could drive past it? Seemed like poor driving all round from this angle, rookie stuff at best.

  • Mark Hughes "other4"

Just finished an article by MH about Massa which i found interesting in which he mentioned 4 other drivers not in race winning cars that could do more with the Ferrari than Massa will. Excluding Mclaren & BMW which I guess are possible race winners, then who would that 4 be? My guess in order of quality would be Alonso,Trulli,Button,Webber. ...

  • Re: Who will Turkey favour?

Definitely looking like a Ferrari 1 2 again, last year Massa got pole on hevier fuel load than Kimi and then won the race therefore looks good for whover gets pole again? Massa's fastest lap immediately before pitstop whereas Kimi saved his for penultimate lap...whats the point. Following spain massa will be out to prove a point, if he can stay ...

  • Re: Could this points system work?

You already get points for quali really, generally the top 10 quali cars will finish inside the top 10 in the race(except for breakdowns & accidents), therefore they are rewarded pointswise for their quali efforts. Secondly you cannot have the WDC contenders starting behind the slower cars as carnage will follow. They have tried these reverse ...

  • Re: Could this season be a complete Kimi whitewash à la MS '02/'04?

I see it as there are 3 parts to a successful outcome(10 points), that being qualifying, starting & racing. If you make an error at a critical time this can and often will cost you the race....Massa's spin,Hamilton's start as example. the margins are so fine and that is what makes it exciting and interesting to watch. i would say Kimis ...

  • Re: Thanks to Spain

When you support a particular driver/team and you have to sit through and accept failure either by way of equipment or error it is difficult to accept and that feeling gets balanced out when your main competitor has difficulty, that being said it should never be extended to serious accident as was obvious in heikkis situation. Sitting watching at ...
