I like how Steve was really thin when he first appeared, but now he is larger than his sense of humour.  It must be working behind the bar that does it.

I think it is a good idea to have a story line based on over-drinking.  I think it is a growing problem in this country and sometimes people don't realise just how much damage they are doing to themselves without realising they have a problem.  Knowledge is power as they say.
