  • Re: victims' champion

''its the attackers that get the help and the attention''. This is a myth.Clearly, Sarah Payne and her mother, Sara, have been given a lot of sympathetic press, and Sara has a voice in the pres which supports her. The murderer is in prison. What I object to about 'Sarah's law' is that it has become somewhat of a publicity stunt for the papers: ...

  • Re: Gloom & Doom News

I have no problem with them reporting the bad news, but to keep reporting the SAME item every day, week and month is ridiculus. First, we learn that house prices are to fall for the next 18-24 months. Next month we learn that house prices are down again. Thwen next month we learn that there is more bad news for house owners - prices are down ...

  • Re: Emma Thompson for Prime minister - Britain is not stupid!

Not everyone agrees with Emma Thompson. Job WILL be lost if Heathrow doesn't expand. People often don't know the facts, so here they are: Heathrow is a hub that takes lots of journeys from other countries. A lot of countries don't have direct flights like we do. If they cannot fly from Heathrow, they will expand their own airports and fly from ...

  • Re: Credit crunch

People who have fixed income jobs ahve the same income as before. I am a teacher and my pay hasn't changed, but my mortgate payments are down, prices are mostly down - energy prices are offset by lower prices elsewhere. I used to struggle to keep out of the red, now I am saving money.

  • Re: Prince Harry and "that" word

Come words are considered rude, racist or offensive. There is no real reason why this is so, the words themselves are no offensive. Think of words describing genitals: some are rude, some are not, yet they all describe the same thing.  If people think Harry's word is not offensive, and attempt to explain it away because it describes a nationality ...

  • Re: The Truth of the Israel-Gaza conflict

''Prior to Hamas and Hezbulah Israel have accepted all partition plans'' This is a joke, right? Or perhaps the facts have eluded you.
