I AM going to miss Eli. Terribly so... he was my favourite. However, Joe Gilgun has never been given enough to do and I think he has been sidelined very badly this year. I am not surprised that he is leaving and I really hope he finds success. I also want the idiots who can't seperate their dislike of a fictional character from a (by all accounts) ...

Eli is one of the characters who doesn't seem to get much development. I think the actor is capable of more than playing the clown. I like him though.
Kitty McGeever who plays Lizzie is actually blind in real life, so she doesn't need to act it I do think that more should be done with her though. She needs more interaction outside of Marlon ...

That's the Spodes I don't really like them either, but I don't think we're supposed to.

buttercupgirl: daffodilly:No idea who the Masoods are but I am not liking the Sharmas so far, can't see they are adding anything to Emmerdale but I guess I should give them a bit more time to settle in.
Did I miss an episode daffodilly? I dont think the Sharmas are in it yet are they??
I wondered if I'd woken up a week late! Did you mean the ...

I think the lad who plays Will is very good - probably my favourite of the child actors on Emmerdale right now. His scenes with Ryan have been lovely.

I have found Lyndon to do a good job of playing a smug, bratty rich boy, but I really didn't rate his 'crying' scenes at all. I am currently unconvinced of his ability to handle emotional drama.
I don't think his age really comes into it, as he's not all that young - about 26. There are several actors younger than him ...

vader:The trouble is, he's getting away with it. Hopefully Gavin will see what a pleb he is.
I doubt it, because Gavin was praising his acting talents in that interview...

frannyp: herne:Lizzie is a skiver. She would use any excuse to avoid her share of the chores. Its a case of won't do, not can't do.
The same could be said for Eli who doesn't have blindness as a reason. BTW where did that £200 come from?
That's true Eli is more like an overgrown teenager though. I can't help ...

I understand what you mean. I find it annoying as well, when they have Lizzie claim that she can't make a cup of tea. However, the actress herself is blind and had a hand in developing her character. She said that blind people are far too often protrayed as 'saintlike' which she saw as a sort of positive discrimination. She wanted Lizzie to be ...

Going against the grain here, but I wouldn't like to see Andy and Debbie get back together anytime soon. I have no objection to seeing his character redeemed, but I feel that trying to achieve this in a 'fast-track' fashion by having him suddenly playing house with Debbie would be lazy writing. To this date, Andy has still not shown any remorse ...
