I have come to dread any stories concerning David's schemes, this one included. As usual with his storylines, this one was completely implausible. However, I'm ashamed to say that I found myself feeling sorry for Gary, even though he finally made his own decision to break in. On the whole, I think that Gary's character is much more realistic than ...

sassy1811:Sorry about that Bobbythecat, I know all viewers are not ladies, as we have alot of male viewers also loving the program here in Newfoundland......I guess I was just speaking for myself, didn't mean to offend you.
Don't worry sassy1811, I didn't take offence.Yes, you've now got a long stretch of rather dubious quality Coronation ...

Mmm, Steve lying to Michelle about that night... beware, that was probably the start of the particularly bad patch that we seem to be just coming out of. They got a surprising lot of mileage and endless boring dialogue out of that run-of-mill storyline, so be prepared for a longhaul!BTW, glad you enjoy reading the comments on this forum, but we ...

Yes, I agree, it has been a good week for Coronation Street, but this has mainly been down to one storyline. We still have to face the other silly storylines, such as Tony and Maria's new-found friendship and Fizz trying to home-educate her little brother who is cleverer than she is. I think they must bring these stories to a head soon to make way ...

I think we got a bit of the old Coronation Street back tonight. Despite my initial misgivings about the Julie/Paula/Colin storyline, I think it could prove to be a turning point for Coronation Street - a sign that the show is on its way up again. It was a captivating episode and the acting was superb from all. And the raw emotion was cleverly ...

I think the parties in the Rovers are actually integral to the nature of the programme. The Rovers has always been the centre for socialising in the Street and, while possibly outmoded now, the programme wouldn't be the same without that element. However, I do agree that they should have the sense to buy their wine elsewhere.
The comments on ...

On the ages issue, Pollaghgirl has the Maths right from the information given last night, although I don't think it's clear whether Paula was 15 when Julie was conceived or born (or both). Anyway, the scriptwriters are now backtracking on Julie's age as she was definitely portrayed as Kirk's 'older woman' when she first came into the ...

When I first heard about this storyline, I thought that the scriptwriters were sinking even lower with a cheap and dirty story that would mainly appeal to those with appetites for sex-based scandals. However, I have to say that it was very well executed and I thought Julie's mother did a fine job of delivering the news with the aid of the poster. ...

So Tom's character is going? That's a shame, unless the actor wants to move on to better things - looking at his filmography, he had quite a few parts in well-known series before Coronation Street.
I think there are too many characters in Coronation Street and there needs to be a cull (although I wouldn't have got rid of Tom). Characters ...

How cringe-worthy is this new pally relationship between Tony Gordon and Maria? I can hardly bear to watch their scenes. And I couldn't believe it tonight when he walked into the hospital room where she was to have her scan. Putting to one side the fact that he did have her husband murdered, even if Maria had falsely accused him, this turnaround ...
