I'll have one last try for you.
Using a search engine do a UK search for 'Ice Edge'.
The one I tried had the source on the first page.
I guess there must be other skating sources but this is the one I found.

Hi,
Not sure , but have a look at the NISA (National Ice Skating Association) website for information and maybe go down to the local Rink and have chat with some of the coaches there.

From what I've read ,this weeks required element involves doing a solo performance of around 20 seconds.
Having said that as Chris doesn't dance with Frankie as much as the others do with their partners so it'll be like giving him a place in the final !
20 seconds for a less confident skater is a long time but for someone who normally does ...

Chris gained marks for attempting and landing ,even though under rotated ,the Axle. But the overall performance wasn't as good as Suzanne's.
If Chris and Frankie had preformed more of the routine together rather than doing separate things ,like using the Judges box ,using the edge of the rink to almost do a hand stand etc and with the rest ...

Last things first. As the blades are carbon steel they are prone to rust so at the rink it wipe as must of the water / ice off as I can then when I get home I dry them completely then oil them. A typical 3-in-1 oil that you'd use for hinges or locks will do. If you haven't got any guards for the blades it's worth getting some.

The other thing I forgot to say is to try and not look down towards the ice / your feet but to look either ahead or behind depending on the direction of travel. This'll also help with your balance.

A Galaxy Glider is the name given to those of the Skate UK course at a Planet Ice Rink. The Gliders course covers levels 1 - 10.

If you want some very comfortable skates with no break-in required then have a look at Riedell Blue Ribbon. If you get them from the company that supplied the skates for DOI they come with MK Club blades where others sell then with the original Sapphire blades which are rather soft and require sharpening more often.
