I was a bit shocked when I heard the rumours. I thought it was Button trying to get a decision out of Brawn. Personally I think this is wrong for Button. I think he will find he is the No 2 driver at McLaren. There is also the Brawn factor with race tactics that seems to be good for a couple of spots up the finish order ...

Hmm now I am thinking that the only reason Button has been holding out is for the Mercedes news. Now he is in a stronger position to ask for a higher wage. Before Brawn could have said ''sorry mate we don't have the funds'' Now brawn can say ''Go see the new owners''

Well if it was fixed then Hamilton was in on it. How did Ferrari reach into his cockpit and make him drive into a gravel trap?

I would like to know what his involvement in the entire thing. If it was his plan or he agreed to the plan then I agree with the lifetime ban.
I don't like the fact that Piquet got away with no penalty for his involvement but I guess the FIA were willing to let the small fish go to get the bigger fish.

I fear JB is driving too defensively. He is thinking too much about the WDC and is not willing to put his car in any danger. This means he is willing to concede places.
Ross needs to knock some sense into him or he just might lose the WDC to RB.

Unfortunately this might be the end of his F1 career. Hopefully not and the outburst doesn't help. 0.5 sec a lap upgrade sounds a bit exagerated.
FB's methods are hs way of doing things and some drivers respond to it while others do not. It seems Piquet needs a lot of hand holding and constant encouragement to perform ...

The precedent was set when they would not allow the rookie JA any seat time. If anyone needed seat time it would have been a rookie. Sir Frank is the only to come out and say it publicly what most teams want to say.

Adding a couple of more thoughts to this argument. What would BMW gain from being in F1?
There is an engine freeze so there is no development there.KERs is dead so no more new technology coming from that.
There was some loose connection between F1 technology being transfered to the road cars but now without the 2 above areas of development maybe ...

Could the fact that there is no North American race be another reason for BMW's exit?
North America is one of their biggest markets. Without a race maybe they figured the reduced amount of exposure does not justify the costs of the team.
Does not bode well for Toyota
Honda has the IRL and Indy 500

I have to agree that the team should be punished and not Alonso
The wheels are designed so that even if the nut is loose the wheel is not supposed ot fall off. So if Alonso thought it was a puncture or a loose wheel he would also believe that the wheel retention system would keep the wheel from falling off. The fact that the wheel ...
