  • britains got talent

To anyone who is interested, possibily surijo, I have found out what I was looking for. The bgt show I was asking about was the pilot show. The show was not taken up at the time, and appeared about a year later with its format changed, owing I believe, to the American influence.

Thanks Surijo, but stars in their eyes was about contestants impersonating stars. The show that I am thinking of was about contestants showing their special skills. Surely someone out there knows what I am on about.

Before BGT was shown in it present format, was there a series of weekly shows, whereby the acts were shown without the ''silly bits'', and the winner was voted for by the audience ( I think )? The winner each week got £ 10,000. I think the first winner was a young girl with a blue merle collie doing a ''dance'' routine.I am ...

  • Britain's Got Talent

The sad plight of all the broken hearted wannabees, coupled with my admiration for someone who was Truly talented, (Louis ''Satchmo'' Armstrong) not just ambitious, like many of the BGT contestants, inspired me to pen the following limerick. There once was a bright young musician To emulate Satch, his ambition On ''Britain's Got ...

  • Re: stavros flatley - appeared on cash in the celebrity attic tonight!

I saw the episode and I think it was him. The guys name is Demetrios Andreas and the act with his son is called Stavros Flatley. The guy next to him has a logo on his top that looks like his company logo   Have posted a edited version of the episode on youtube so take a look and decide. It’s called “Stavros Flatley on cash in the celebrity ...

  • Risk aversion or the nanny state

Until just now, I didn't know that Susan Boyle has a learning issue, so this may sound harsh. And my comments are about adult contestants. All the demands for BGT producers to provide support for contestants are ridiculous and should be ignored. Adults should be able to read the terms and conditions (I assume they exist) and accept them -- ...
