  • Re: What a shocking result!

I don't think the result was shocking at all. I think it is obvious that going purely from talent and nothing else, the favourites should have been Faryl and Escala, and possibly Andrew. And yes, the show is called Britain's Got Talent. But in reality that just isn't how it works. It is about talent AND how well the entrant engages with the ...

  • Best interview question EVER!!!!!!!!!

Stephen Mulhearn to Strike: I spoke to your mum's earlieron they're really ......... nice, obviouvery supportive and stuff.  Do you feel that you've let your family down in any way?   This has got to be the best question ever, I nearly fell off the armchair laughing, and even better was the fact that nobody there picked up on ...

  • Re: George to win Britains Got Talent?

I'd really like George to win, but my guess is that Faryl is going to make it.

  • Re: Did escala deserve to win?

Tonight... yes, I think so. They were simply the best act. The competition as a whole... no, not so much. Escala appear to be professional musicians who have released music and worked commercially. While they are admittedly incredibly talented - and gorgeous - and would be a wonderful act to represent the UK, BGT is supposed to be for amateur ...

  • Re: Did escala deserve to win?

I did like them best from the semifinal tonight...  And I was pretty impressed with their audition, too.  I'm not living in the UK, so I've been following the show on YouTube and, as catty2k1 pointed out, I too found a link to one very professional video from Scala (where they're playing the same piece as in the audition).  It did ...

  • Re: Escala are not a unique act Simon and Piers

They are a unique act in this competition.  I agree they are a little overrated, I guess it is the element of surprise.  We don't get a lot of that on TV and not everyone knows about Bond (I didn't either, I'm not really into classical music, just ocassional concerts).  They're definitely entertaining.

  • Re: What a shame Charlie Green!

I was very annoyed about this! He comes from near me so I was especially hopeful that he did well, when he started to sing I just cringed but hoped the judges would realise it was just a blip on an otherwise brilliant act. Unfortunately they chose to put through strike, a cross between marshal arts and gymnastics, who in my opinion have no chance ...
