  • The Science of Lance Armstrong

Hi All,   I put a post through during the tour where I said I had missed recording the ITV4 special, ''The Science of Lance ARmstrong''  Unfortunately I have been watching the TV schedule for weeks and have not seen it repeated yet.  Does anyone know if it is on the internet or streamable?

  • Re: What is your favourite rider name / team over the years?

Lauren Fignon was the best Le Tour rider I ever did see.  Being English, I hate the French , but Fignon was a great Le Tour cyclist. Nick P.S. Great to see some brief interviews with him on ITV4 too over the last three weeks.

  • final stage

Why is the final stage of the tour processional? The time for drinking champagne is after the race not during! Surely if the final stage were competitive, it would make the entry into Paris far more interesting? Has there always been this acceptance of the result before the race is over?   Isn't it time for one of the new clean teams to ...

  • Re: whats with the weaving?

lanternerouge:Isn't it to get the riders behind out of your slipstream? In fact it is the otherway around.  The lead cyclists does this, as it helps to see a pending attack and hopefully be able to react 'pre-emptive', and jump the gun first.  The reason all the cyclists follow and all weave about like a shoal of fish is until ...

  • Crowd Numbers

I heard Phil say that, when the Tour started in London, the crowd was three million. Who counted them? Yours Tim Evans.

  • And the Winner is??? Will CSC attack on the way to Paris?

Ok say Evans gets back the time from Sastre tomorrow and regains the yellow jersey by  1 or 2 seconds from Sastre or Schleck Are you seriously saying that CSC will not try to win the race on the final stage because of tradition To quote the 'official programme' notes Stage 21 'the reward for 3 weeks effort is a stage finish in Paris. ...

  • Tour's greatest moments - where is Robert Millar's achievements

He achieved more than either Chris Boardman or Mark Cavendish and I’m not being disrespectful here, but can someone at ITV explain just what exactly what either have actually won?  Nothing.   Boardman only won time-trials and prologues, where is an actual stage win?  What has he done to earn a spot in the greatest moments apart ...

  • Team GARMIN CHIPOTLE - telemetry data

Garmin, the GPS people, are using their Edge 705 GPS enabled bike computers (I have an Edge 605) on their sponsored GARMIN CHIPOTLE team during the tour, and the telemetry data is uploaded each day to the 'motionbased' web site so all can see/use it.  A staggering wealth of information - and staggering data from le tour riders  Nick
