  • Re: Jim Rosenthal - What a disgrace

I agree ...   Im a South African and during the tournement had constant abuse by the English about how *** we were and 95 was only due to poisoning and so forth. After the 36 - 0 in the opening tournament not a whisper of English ***. But this was short lived when England made it through to the finals. All the adverts were ...

  • Re: Game coverage

I heartily agree. To us rugby fans, good rugby matters first, sensational fanzine stuff comes a poor second. Argentina played so well.  They deserved praise and post-match replays.  We Englishmen wanted to relish the match - and a great game.  Instead we had to watch a man babbling ''What about Bryan Habana?'', ''What ...

  • A reply from ITV.

''The fairness and impartiality of our broadcasts is an issue we take very seriously, which is why we recruited a team of presenters, experts and commentators that represent each of the major nations and are knowledgeable about all the teams competing. Having said that, at this late stage in the competition, when England are the only remaining ...

  • Greenwood emails - anyone had a reply?

I emailed the ITV duty office regarding Will Greenwood's extraordinary commentary performance (and I gather from these boards that I was probably one of many who did so). I haven't had an acknowledgement or response of any kind - what about other people?

  • Re: Rugby Commentary

Registered for the 1st time to complain. It really was a disgrace, but even more disgraceful is the fact that ITV will ignore all of us and do nothing about it.   I wonder do their sponsors know the reaction of the viewers and the Magical Words what a turn off!   Pity I love the Rugby     What are the opening title like?

  • Will Greenwood

I haven't spoken to anybody today who had enjoyed the commentary (if thats what he thought he was doing)from the idiot (W Greenwood) that partnered a professional last night. Why has ITV in all its wisdom let him near a microphone? If this forum is anything to go by he sould be put on the next ferry back to England. His words were not appreciated ...

  • Re: Rugby Union World Cup

I also cannot contain myself anymore, ref last nights England game, I am sick and tired of Will Greenwood's commentary containing more words about the England game, than the one he is supposed to be commenting on, mainly South Africa v Argentina. When oh when will this gloating end?  And lets hope that BBC get the rights to the world cup in ...

  • Re: Rugby Commentary

bigfattone:The fact is that England are in the Rugby World Cup Final again and South Africa are by no means home and dry in their feeble attempts to join them.   Then explain why England to lost to South Africa 36-0? I have been sickened by the Engliish commentary. One of the ground rules of commentary is not to be biased. Apart from the ...
