  • And the Winner is??? Will CSC attack on the way to Paris?

Ok say Evans gets back the time from Sastre tomorrow and regains the yellow jersey by  1 or 2 seconds from Sastre or Schleck Are you seriously saying that CSC will not try to win the race on the final stage because of tradition To quote the 'official programme' notes Stage 21 'the reward for 3 weeks effort is a stage finish in Paris. ...

  • Re: Hill Gradients

Yep, that's about right.  Use the formula (UK gradient)*100 - i.e. (1/5)*100==20%, (1/7)*100=14.28% etc.  And you reckon an average 1 in 5 climb over (8km) 4.97 miles is NOT steep Nick

  • Team GARMIN CHIPOTLE - telemetry data

Garmin, the GPS people, are using their Edge 705 GPS enabled bike computers (I have an Edge 605) on their sponsored GARMIN CHIPOTLE team during the tour, and the telemetry data is uploaded each day to the 'motionbased' web site so all can see/use it.  A staggering wealth of information - and staggering data from le tour riders  Nick

  • Team GARMIN CHIPOTLE - telemetry data

If you all know (or didn't), Garmin, the GPS manufacturers have equipped their sponsored Team this year with the Edge 705 GPS enabled bike computers (I have an Edge 605 - great bit of kit).  Each day, the telemetry data is uploaded to Garmins' 'motionbased' site that allows users to save/record and use the data. The information available ...

  • col du lombarde

I am watching todays race & the comentators have talked about the danger of descents & also the new tarmac laid over most of this col. I was there, descending into Italy 2 weeks ago from the col du Lombarde & came to a sudden halt with both my bike wheels over the rims in tarmac that was just being laid. Both today's climbs have ...

  • Riders Employment contract a solution?

This is all about the respect the riders have for thier jobs. Lets not forget its the hardest sport in the world and right now it's each riders cup final. Why are they risking it. In my view, each team should get all riders on employment contracts that tie them into (if found positive) repaying all the team expense outlaid during their ...

  • How do the drugs tests actually works and who actually delivers it?

I'm really interested to see some wider coverage on how the testing works for the tour, and some form of comparison about how the other tours (giro and vuelta) manage this problem.
