    The Weather

Boring title i know but i cant believe how bad it is. It been raining here really heavy for 10/11 days with only a short respite occassionally. Its just given out on our local radio of 8 schools that are flooded and loads of roads are impassable and they are just going on continually about further closures and telling u not to go out. Fortunatly i live on hill and so far its just like a stream going past but apparantly at the bottom the hill it is flooded. I just hope that it eases soon:(

Give it 2 weeks of sunny weather then it will happen. We will be told it was the wrong kind of rain or some excuse lol

It has been raining on and off here today! Then a HUGE rumble of thunder and a flash, and then no more! Lol, it keeps going blue and then a VERY LARGE grey, blacky coloured cloud comes over!

    I like this weather, I like rain! :D ;)

i dont mind the rain either but my area seems particularly bad and lots of roads are flooded and more are being closed and apparantly the area is rapidly becoming gridlocked. I do know that i will take some of my more personal things upstairs tonight just to be on the safe side as my garden is just one giant paddling pool. They have even started evacuating people from their homes as they are being flooded:(

Yeah, that sounds a bit scary Pob, I wouldn't like that. You can't even call it exciting because, it's more worrying isn't it.

I like jumping in big puddles, but not when they are in the front room.

I hope that the water flow soon calms down though, and you have no problems tonight. Can you put something at the bottoms of your doors? Pillows, duvets, blankets, towels??

hehe becki you made me laugh at that. I could just see me running up and down the room in my wellies:D

Fortunatly i have 2 big steps both back and front so hopefully fingers crossed it will be ok. But i think i will put some pillows down just in case

Lol, bet Freddie would love it though! ;)

Oh, well at least the steps might act as a bit of a barrier then, that is a positive. Putting pillows down can only reinforce what is already there can't it, so that's a good thing!? :)

Well, I looked like a drowned rat when I got in from work !!
Most of our streets are like streams with water running down them, my boots socks and trousers were soaked through before I even got to work this morning !
The Junior schools fire alarm went off, and although they usually head for the field when that happens - with all this rain and the gales they headed straight for the infants, so we had all our children in their classrooms and all the juniors in our hall, meaning our canteen staff couldn't set out the dinner tables !!The fire brigade came and checked the junior school thoroughly, then allowed the junior children back in, and our children finally had their dinner, they all found it very exciting though lol ! :D
Then I had to go to the hospital with my 2 five litre sample bottles lol, got home and my kitchen had a huge puddle by the back door - the edges of the glass is leaking, and my dog looked very sorry for himself, probably thought I was going to shout at him and blame him for the puddle lol !!

So, I've had a bath and am now in my pj's and dressing gown - god it feels like November not June !!!

Hope everyone else is surviving the torrents so far !!
