Rugby Union everyday & twice on Sundays! The round sport seems full of over indulged, overpaid premaddonas who do very little to deserve their following.

We Won the World Cup & then got to the final last year,.....Roundsport?  We can stand next to one of our opposition supporters, beer in hand and enjoy the game without batting an eye-lid.

If we have Police at major games they are there to control traffic, not separate warring 'fans'. Now I'm not saying that happens at All fottie games, but it seems to be in the news a lot.

I have taken many a footie fan to a rugby match & they all have admitted that the atmosphere was brilliant, & were really surprised that fans stood together, and drank together, that the players were often to be found walking round & are always happy to sign your shirt or have a photo taken, something you dont get at footie. I grant you that occationally a player does make it into the news, and it usally it is over a spanking, but it is rare.

I agree that there is generally a world of difference between the footie and rugby fans but over the past few years, a worrying trend of football mentality has hit rugby matches.  I've witnessed fights, drunkeness and general bad behaviour in front of kids at international test matches in Wales.

Thankfully it is only a minority of fans which seem to be hell bent on getting lagered up before the match then having more at the match and it's inevitable that problems will occur.

On the whole, it's still a breath of fresh air compared to wendyball.
