    Housing benefit or lack off

I have for the first time in 16 years found my self in a postion of being unemployed, and having to claim jobseekers and housing benefit, I have just been told that i will get £68 per week for my rent my rent is £400 a month, therefore I have to find £32 per week to top up my rent fine but I only get £60.50 per week, so I will have £28 per week to pay my bills, run a car (I live in a rural place and have been told I will have at least a 5 yr wait for council housing) so I can get a job LOL. I cant even afford to get to interviews now. What am iI surpose to do.

I live on my own so have to clear a set amount each month to pay my rent bills etc, with the new tax system and lack of tax credit help this is making it increasing difficuilt to found a job. I have to look at how much the wage is ,how much it would cost to get to the job before I can even think about applying, its so unfair.

I hope you are also claiming Council Tax rebate.   Crazy isn't it if you were new to the country you would get more help.
