    teresa morton

i was so glad when i found out that the morton clan were leaving but when i saw teresa pulling rosie out of the party by the hair i think that she would be a great character to keep.she has some great lines.anyone agree?

Absolutely!  Darryl's a good character too - loved his couldn't-care-less attitude to Rosie's plight "just leave her.  She was well out of order".

Just as well Dozy Webster had a go at Jerry because of his weight rather than Finlay because of his skin colour - else it would have been her being dragged into the courts.  Overweight people (like many others), in contrast to blacks, have to just grin and bear any insults or ridicule hurled at them.

I totally agree - she is a great character and I prefer her to Cilla.

I've heard comparisons made with Cilla but Teresa seems to be a much more sympathetic character.  She's not the greatest mum in the world by any means but at least we know she has a reason for that - her addiction to the booze.  What was Cilla's excuse?

    Re: teresa morton

Exactly - Cilla had no excuse!

    Re: teresa morton

And yet ... despite that Chesney seems to be a well balanced lad as do the Moreton kids.  Those who we think of as model parents (Ken & Deirdre) had the misfortune to raise a murderess and Gail who I suspect THINKS she's a model parent didn't exactly fare too well with her kids.   Rosie Webster isn't exactly blessed with good manners either.  So 'good' parenting doesn't necessarily lead to well behaved kids.

What was so awful about Cilla was not just that she didn't seem to give a toss about anyone but she was so loud, brash and sour-looking.  Teresa (unlike Cilla and unlike her holier than thou daughter Mel) at least cracks a smile now & again.

And of course anyone who brings Dozy Webster down a peg or two is doing well in my book. YesSmile

cant stand her, and the news is that she is slowly poisoning jerry, encouraging him to drink more and spiking his food,  and therefore making him so dependant on her.. nasty cat...

    Re: teresa morton

I may be wrong but it seems as though she's aiming to give him a relapse so she'll be needed again.  She only decided to spike the food once it was announced he'd found her somewhere to stay.  Poor Teresa.  They seem to be getting along ok and she obviously wants to stay so why are they so eager to get rid of her?

    Re: teresa morton

Teresa's questioning of Gail about Jerry's medication was quite touching.  She obviously doesn't want to harm him - just wants to be asked to stay.   But it's a dangerous gamble given his condition.

    Re: teresa morton

oh oh what have I said now?  Is it so wrong to suggest she may actually be a character it's possible to sympathise with despite spiking her hubby's grub.  She was obviously concerned when quizzing Gail about his medication.
