    Bring back Scott Windsor

I say bring back Scott. I think he was terrific in the show, but make him less evil. Could see some great storylines with him back.

Can only see this happening if they get a new actor as the old Scott won't be re-employed IMO. It would be interesting to see what happens when he finds out about Debbie's dealings ! But the time to bring him back was when Viv was in trouble as I think it would have been pretty near impossible for him not to come back and support her but strangely the writers obviously didn't think so Wink

From All Accounts Ben Freeman ( Scott Windsor ) Has Recently Returned To Barbados For The Trial, Not Sure If It Starts In October Or November. He Had Been Bailed On £25,000 Bond & Had Returned To The U.K. Pending The Start Of Proceedings.  If It Does Not Go Well For Him He Could Be " Banged Up " For Some Time.  Barbados Justice Awaits

    Re: Bring back Scott Windsor

The trial has just started and the papers say that if conviced it could be anything up to 'life'.

Yes It Would Be A Miserable Life To Get " Life" In Barbados Jails, However If You Go To Barbados Nation Newspaper  ( www.nationnews.com )     & Put In Ben Freeman On The Search Engine,  They Have A Couple Of In- Courtroom Articles About The Goings-on So Far, This May Well Be A Case Of " Your A Celebrity & I've Got You Good,Where's Your Cheque Book"  ??

From the outset this was claimed and initially what witnesses statements said.

    Will 'Celebrities' never learn?

Do you think that Ben could be reinstated if cleared?

    Re: Bring back Scott Windsor

Celebrities Seem To Have The Ability To Use "Celebrity Status" As It Suits, Their Have Been Some High Profile Cases Over The Years ( Michael Jackson Comes To Mind As Does The Infamous O.J. Simpson  & Many Many Others ). Do Celebrities Have To Live Like "Celibate's" So As Not To Get " Caught In The Trap ?, Should Complainants That Make Up "False" Accusation's Be Made More Accountable For There Actions ? This Seems To Be A Case Of " She Said" " He Said". It'll Be Tough To Call On This, Will " Celebrity" Win The Day Or Does The Prosecution Have A Case To Put Forward?

Getting Back On The Emmerdale Set ? Who Knows ? That's Between I.T.V. , Ben's Agent & Ben Himself, It's Not Beyond The Realm Of Possibility His Character Is Still " Out There ", As Mentioned On Other Threads He Should Have Been " Mentioned " In Story Lines To Keep His Character Current,Much Like They Are Doing With Jack, This Could Give Him(Scott) The Opening To Return Or Have Emmerdale Found Him "Guilty" Already

Overnight Update From Barbados On The Ben Freeman Trial (Courtesy Of Nation News Barbados ).

The Complainant Took The Stand Yesterday, Her Testimony Was Quite Damning. Ben, Question For You, If What She Said Has Any Truth, What Part Of NO Did You Not Get ? NO Means NO End Of ! Get Off, Go To Your Room & Take A Cold Shower. Having Fun & A Joke Around The Pools Is O.K. Taking It A Step To Far Is Not O.K.

The Defense Gets A Go At The Complainant Today On Cross-examination, I Guess The Question Will Be Was It Consensual ? Or Was It Entrapment ? Seems Strange The Paparazzi ( Or Somebody ) Were Hanging Around With A Camera At The Exact Time ?

I Guess The Jury Will Have This Dilemma, If Consensual Fits, You Must Acquit.

    Re: Bring back Scott Windsor

A Little Bit More From B.B.C ( Barbados Broadcasting ) On The Trial, I Guess The " Paparazzi " Turned Out To Be A Guest At The Hotel With A Disposable Camera Trying His Luck In Getting A Quick Couple Of Hundred Barbados $$ Out Of Ben. In Saying That It Seems He Has "Torn To Shreds" The Complainant's Version Of Events Of The Night In Question, Even Going So Far As To "Audio-ally Imitate" The Sounds Of Love-making Heard By Him From The Accused & Complainant, What Court Room Drama That Must Of Been. It Seems As Though Ben Has A Very Good Defense Attorney & Will Go To Any Length For An Acquittal.

This Could All Be Over Very Quickly, On The Strength Of What I've Read & Heard I Would Have To Say Ben Has Won The Day.  Verdict  NOT GUILTY Would Be My Guess.

Which ever way the verdict goes the girl is going to make money out of this by selling her and her family's story whilst Ben has lost everything (ask John Leslie).

This type of thing makes it harder for girls who have really been raped to be believed and if Ben is acquitted I hope some action is taken against her.

Yesterdays ( October 14th ) Happenings At The Supreme Court For Ben Freeman.

It Seems The Complainant Had A  " Grilling " From Freeman's Defense Council For Three Hours, She ( Ben's Q.C.) Ripped Into The Complainant's Police Statement & It Seems To Have A Lot Of Conflicting Items & " I Can't Remembers " During The Cross Examination. It Is Also Alleged That The Complainant Got A " Good Hiding" From Her Step-mother When She Found Out The Girl Had Sex With Freeman ?

It Will Be Interesting To See If Ben Takes The Stand In His Own Defense But Then He May Not Need Too.

    Re: Bring back Scott Windsor

Whether the actor is acquitted or not, I think it would be pointless to bring back Scott Windsor.  If he didnt come back for his mother's trail then he never would.

    Re: Bring back Scott Windsor

To Sell A Story You Need A Buyer, Unfortunately There Are Many  " Trash Rags " Who Would Buy The Story, In Saying This, The Young Lady Would Probably Have To Identify Herself To Get Credibility, Is She Willing To Do That ?  Or Will £££££ Influence Her Motive To Sell ?

John Leslie Was " Hung, Drawn & Quartered " & Went Through A Terrible Ordeal Which He Never Really Recovered From & Was Never Compensated For The " Slander " He Received.

Yes REAL Rape Victim's Have A Terrible Ordeal To Overcome The Trauma & To Be Believed In Such A Vile & Brutal Attack.

Does Ben Have Any Legal Recourse If Acquitted. The Quick Answer Is NO, Not Really The Best They Could Look At Maybe A " Civil Suit " But That Becomes Petty & What Chance Of A Judgment Being Awarded Against The Lady Would Probably Be By The Barbados Court Therefore Not Likely To Be Collectible Outside Of The Islands. Criminally, Unless The Lady Has Perjured Her Testimony Not Much Chance Of Anything Their.  I Think The Barbados Justice System Will Just " Wash There Hands" Of The Whole Thing.

Yes You Are Absolutely Right They ( Scriptwriters ) Have " Written " Scott Windsor Out In All Shape & Form Although Viv Did Plead Out Her Trial To Guilty In A " Dramatic " Fashion So In Essence A Trial Didn't Take Place For Scott To Get Back For But That Is Splitting Hairs As He Had Ample Opportunity To " Get Back " When His Mother Was Initially Charged With The Offense. Does This Mean That Debbie Has Inherited The Garage By Default ? Or Is She Still Sending Him ££ For His Share?
