Here in Toronto, on a recent Coronation Street episode, we saw David Platt drive his car into the canal.
You could see his anguished face in the car's rear view mirror, just seconds before the car entered the canal.
The next scene shows the car entering the canal.
We then see the car being dredged from the canal, with no David inside.
The he suddenly appears at his home, a little worse for wear, and Gail give a cry of relief that he's alive.
My question is how could he possibly escape from the car just seconds before it entered the canal ?
Even the great escape artist Houdini would have a hard time with that trick !
Apparently a bystander was an eyewitness to all of this, but there was no followup as to how David escaped from the car.
Seems a bit far-fetched to me.
And there's another thing.
He didn't even have a driver's licence because he was too young to drive, but mummy dearest, Gail bought him the car so he could sit in it and listen to his music.
Gimme a break !
I think we need a reality check here.
