This whole affair is terrible but I still cannot understand how two parents can be legally allowed to get away with leaving two 2-year old twins and a 3-year old girl on their own! This was a selfish dereliction of their parental duties that directly contributed to the awful consequence! Yes, they have suffered - and they will obviously continue to suffer - but that is not the point. The overwhelmingly important points are: what has happened to that poor little girl and, through the lack of official condemnation of the parents, the wrong message has been sent out to all of those other parents who think that it is quite reasonable to go off and have a good time whilst leaving toddlers completely on their own!

exactly as a mother and grandmother I don't know how they can live with themselves

 I watch my grandaughter who in now 28 months old playing, and ask myself could I leave her alone? the answer is always the same NO, NEVER, a child should always be put first no matter what else is going on in your life

i know exactly what you mean!i could never leave my little bambino. not even with a babysitter the only people i trust with him are my mother and father.

i just can't believe they didn't even get a babysitter.leaving your poor defenceless child. ALONE!so you can have a good time and get wrecked!
