    Was Joe ITV's choice?

I just ask the question because from my recollection, I think Joe Swash was given more air time that any other of the celebrities.

Personally, I was getting fed up of seeing him in the bush telegraph seemingly every 5 minutes.  I think towards the end of his jungle life, David was given quite a significant amount of air time, but overall Joe was far and away seen more than the others.

Rather unfair on the others, I feel.

More than likely.  He was sent for more trials than anyone else so seemed to receive more airtime until DVD arrived.  I got the impression Joe wasn't overkeen on the "video" he & David filmed.  Might explain why he "forgot" to press record half the time.  Anyone else think it was all scripted from day one?

Incidentally I know we were all supposed to see DVD as the bad guy and Joe as the perfect role model and whilst he was perfectly accepting of the away team (unlike others who wanted to maintain their own little group and not welcome outsiders) I found his kissing & cuddling of George quite bizarre particularly on the lips.  Was it an attempt to prove he isn't homophobic?  Whatever the reason if he'd done that to anyone else I'm sure they'd have questioned his motives and quite possibly his mental health.

I did wonder if Joe was giving any consideration to George's new 'husband' when he was kissing and cuddling him.

I got very bored with Joe, who I suppose is basically a really sweet guy.  But call me sceptical but I did wonder if his 'love' for George was linked to any hope of work in the USA, as surely George must have good contacts.

Seems more likely than my theory of just having somewhere to stay while in LA.  But short of a part in Oliver what else would be open to him in America?  And true all that kissing & cuddling won't have pleased George's partner one little bit,.
