    Jane Torvill's Outfits 2009

Anyone with an ounce of dress sense can see that jane hasnt got a clue what outfit to wear.  Nothing she wears flatters her figure, size, colouring or posture.  None of her colours co-ordinate with her hair, makeup, shoes etc., she looks so frumpy.

The people who dress her need a lesson in hair, makeup, beauty and clothes.

The girl has a fabulous figure and looks beautiful in all her skating outfits but they just cant get it right when she steps out of them.  Some of her shoes make her legs look awful, knees pushed forward like *** Emery and she hasnt yet learned how to stand properly.  She is small and I think thats the problem - they are trying to dress her in evening gowns and it dont work.

Some of the dresses she wears are nice but dont suit her.  Am i the only one to see this?

I thought this was a ice dance contest not a fashion parade.I watch the show to see the skating and could not care less what dress she is wearing

If you read  "JANE TORVILL'S DRESS"  I think you will probably find it is  YOU  who has not an ounce of dress sense, makeup or hair styling,  she looks lovely.

    Re: Jane Torvill's Outfits 2009

Just because she is famous and looks good on ice doesnt necessarily follow that she knows what suits her off the ice.  I love her skating and her outfits worn on ice - they are perfect but her clothes off the ice do not suit her frame, shape or figure.

I dont mind if others cant see what I can see - that may mean that I am in the minority of people that can really see fashion sense - because there are so many celebs (and ordinary people) who don't have a clue how to dress and it takes a special person to realise this and adorn them with suitable attire for the ocassion.

Jane is too short for big bows and frills and sleeves etc.  Her garments should be tight fitting to show off her fabulous figure but very simple with few accessories.  There should be no more than 2 colours at any one time.  She shouldnt wear such massive high heels - they push her forward and it looks ugly.   Her face is not attractive and therefore having her hair pulled back in a strict 'madam' type of look cannot be carried off by her.  She needs softer hairstyles that frame her face and throw out the makeup - try something more subtle.

Putting her in a long dress makes her look like a dwarf - the dressers really need to modernise her and really look at the person they are working with.  She is athletic, slim, and she should be dressed in more 'boyish' looks to accentuate these assetts.  In trying to make her look glamorous the wardrobe department has done the reverse.

But Im glad im in the minority who can see this - I've had fabulous dress sense all my life - and i can tell you it really comes in handy - especially when ive eaten a big tub of icecream!

    p.s.

Yes ive checked the thread on Jane's dresses and read the comments.  What I am seeing is a lot of women like the dresses and clothes Jane wears very much and would like to purchase them.  Alot of enquiries are where can I get this or that.  These women are looking at Janes clothes with a view to wearing them themselves.  There are not that many comments about Jane looking fabulous.  What the writers are implying are that these costumes are great (and I agree 100%) and where can i buy them because i have the sort of figure that it would suit.

Not the same as analysing whether or not that dress actually suited Jane or not.

    Re: Jane Torvill's Outfits 2009

it sort of reminds me of that childs story 'the emporers not wearing any clothes'.

Sometimes it takes one person to point out what a million cant see!

(ocassionally Jane wears an outfit that suits her but not very often).  Because she looks good in her skating gear perhaps they should design some dresses and suits based on those designs and the snug fit they give.

I love hats - I look gorgeous in them - but unfortunately they dont make them big enough for me.

    Re: Jane Torvill's Outfits 2009

enough admiration - now back to the clothes.

I need to add that Jane looks absolutely fantastic in every outfit she wears on ice - they mould to her body beautifully and flow just enough to give just the right finish to her very polished performances.  Every outfit suits her.

Who designs Janes clothes for her off the ice?
