    LH should go

F1 does no longer need LH in its ranks as he is now a proven liar & a cheat and all the grovelling to the media is never going to repair the facts. The only thing as I can see is the fact he was found out & as a result the FIA should remove his license and throw him out of the sport as no respectable sport should tolerate cheats & liars. It would also send a message to anybody else that thought they could get away with cheating just what they would get as a punishment. I suppose he had to resort early in the season to cheating as now he is only driving an average car and with his limited ability it would be the only chance he would have of retaining his first undeserved world title.

I think he should go but for different reasons.

If he really believes he is an innocent party 'just folowing orders' and that he was mislead by the team he hs to leave that team to retain an ounce of integrity.

As long as he takes their dirty money he is as guilty as the rest of them.

I can see where your comming from with "liar", but how do you class him as a cheat, when you look at some other drivers and the antics they have done on track to ensure a championship, i think lewis is quite tame.

    Re: LH should go

I'm not an Hamilton fan myself but I'm amazed how many people dislike him and this latest "Liargate" thing is the last thing he needs for his public image but gotta say he sure brings some drama to the business (I nearly said sport) even more so now his car is off the pace but he's still battling through the pack and getting near the front.

F1 so far this season is excellent with more of the usual drama surrounding Hamilton/Mcclaren and the stewards but with the welcome bonus of overtaking, it's prob gonna be the best season in decades if the stewards dont do their best to give out random decisions and punishments.

    Re: LH should go

Hamilton should get a full apology from the stewards for putting him in a situation where he believed that he might have lied.

The stewards should stick to the facts of the matter and not try to second guess what might have been in drivers' minds as they made split second decisions.

The stewards are destroying the sport with their wholly unreasonable interpretation of the rules, IMO.

Hamilton should be reinstated to the third place which he was entitled to inherit when Trulli drove through the gravel trap.

    Re: LH should go

So Hamilton and the McLaren team lied did they, fact is the McLaren team lied,Hamilton was told to go along with it,thing is he already told the press the truth and should have realised it was to late to lie and told the team this. This didnt happen, lies were told and the team along with Hamilton are sufferring, deservedly so,or is it.

2007,McLaren could have won the championship, but a member of the Ferrari team was found to have given Alonso and his manager information that should have stayed within the Ferrari team. For accepting and using the information the McLaren company and drivers were penalised, lost points and received a big fine.Well if you look closely at the situation Ferrari were in at the time, they needed help,or a good plan, could it all have been a good plan on thier side.At the end of the day what happened couldnt have happened without help from from a ferrari team member so why were the penalties so harsh.Because of the ferrari spygate situation McLaren now didnt have much of a chance of the championship,Hamilton did though,he had a good chance and at the end of the championship ended up 1 point behind Raikkonen, but Williams/bmw were found to have raced on ilegal fuel. The fia should have disqualified the team and its drivers. This would have moved Hamilton to the top on the leader board and he would have won the drivers championship, was this the reason Williams/bmw  weren't penalised?

2008.This was a joke, never before have a I seen a team penalised so much to help another team.Every time Hamilton was penalised it helped ferrari and massa, everytime.I believe in 2008 every driver that was penalised massa always benefitted, even when massa was at fault in the pit lane exit incident he was only given a small fine(size doesnt matter)when given the nature of the incident surely he should have been disqualified from the race.2008 was not a pleasant year, the fia whenever they could seemed to be helping ferrari at the expence of the other teams.mainly McLaren.

2009. We have lies from McLaren and Hamilton, lies to gain 1 point?,no it was thier point anyway, they werent gaining a point,it really was thiers,so what was the lie for?, are we ever really going to know the truth. At the end of the day they probably knew they were going to have another tough year with the fia,and when you are told you are under investigation the first thing you do is make a plan,ok they made the wrong one,I believe they only thought they were securing the point, they shouldnt have had to go through what they have,if it were another team and driver would they have had to go through all this,I dont know, but I doubt it.

       sorry,what was the question again....
