    Tell us what you think!

As Emmerdale celebrates is 35th anniversary on 16th October, we've launched a special dedicated page with background to the hour-long episode, exclusive interviews from the key actors involved and behind-the-scenes footage from rehearsals.

    View the page here

What's more, we've also got clips of what we think are Emmerdale's top 10 moments from the past 35 years with your chance to vote on your favourite.

You may disagree with our choice - if so, let us know by posting your top 10 below.

We'd love to hear any other comments you have about the show's dramatic hour-long episode and why you think Emmerdale is still going strong after 35 years.

The best posts will be published on itv.com/emmerdale so get posting!

I'm very disappointed to see Perdy/Grayson being neglected in the run down of best bits this year. The episodes where they lost their baby were heartbreaking and very well acted. Did we need reminding of Nicola's come back?

Personally I don’t think this storyline is very original at all.  Andy Sugden starts a fire, which kills Sarah, and now Victoria starts a fire, which kills Jack couldn’t the story writers have come up with something better than this.  Okay kill him in a fire but let it be an electrical fault not another Sugden child killing a parent.

totally agree.  was there really any need for another death so soon after the last?  It's getting boring!

The thing that riles me about 'anniversaries' on any shows, whether soaps, or otherwise is.......

Why, oh why do most of them, be it 1, 2, 3, 4, etc hundreth, or even 35th year episode have to be 'disaster' orientated?? I'd rather have seen something like Perdy having a child via 'immaculate conception'....something HAPPY, for a change!

Re: Tell us what you think!

If Perdy did have a child by immaculate conseption it woudl would be a bit like dynasty you know where Bobby dies and then a few months later everyone in the show woke up and it was a dream .  Perdy cant have children herself she’s a hysterectomy.  Incidentally I did wonder when and how Katie would get more interesting her characters been pretty boring since the fight with Jo over Andy.

Blame Richard Arnold on GMTV he led me to believe Jack died.  My first posting on this subject was posted before the episode was aired.  I dont think anyone will die now thankfully

Re: Tell us what you think!

I have loved Emmerdale for the past eight years since I started watching it - but can you tell me, why has it disintegrated into farce? My husband and I often say nowadays, oh here we go again, more  'supposed to be hysterical but is just really irritating stuff'. I assume it's the new director/producer who ruined Coronation Street, which I no longer watch, Tom O'Mara's influence, as it also went the same route into mindless sillyness and got rid of a lot of their interesting old characters? Let's have rounded strong characters, and not daft storylines set in the factory, cafe or wherever about cabages, nasty gossip, competition wins, etc. If Pearl wins any more she'll be permanently on holiday!  Please get rid of that ghastly new Genivieve..ugh.  When all the Kings were running their business, we didn't have so much rubbishy gossipy silly storylines, it was fun to watch. I'd guess I'll be giving it a couple more months and then I'll not be tuning in any more. Shame, I used to look forward to seeing the show.

    Mickie
