    madeline

i thought it was more than one year since this dear little girl was lostwe all grumble at times but nothing can be worse than what the parents of maddie are going through but in case we forget there is a higher power for every one, to provide strength for those that have to carry this sort of heavy crossand it is when we think we have ben forsaken that is when we are carried.          auntsallyknitting

I'm sure the McCanns are thanking their lucky stars every day for that higher power...right after thanking their bank manager, publicist, financiers etc etc.

All my feelings go to Maddie.  Her parents were part of the problem imo....although i'm not saying they deserved to lose a child as that would be grossly unfair but they certainly helped in her disappearance (loathe to say abduction as there is little to none subtantiated evidence to support that theory).

The parents must be going through hell !!as its worse not knowing what happend to her than it would be if they had found a body and gained closure.I really do hope someone somewhere will come forward with information.

I think its so heartless the way people keep on about the McCanns part in Maddie's disappearance.  They know better than anyone that they shouldn't have left the kids in the apartment but they are not the first parents to do it and probably won't be the last so why keep on blaming them. The pain of losing their little girl must be unbearable, they are suffering every day of their lives and let's just hope that one day they get her back.  The nasty comments are doing nothing but adding to their distress and Nickster I would say its pretty obvious that she was abducted she didn't just walk off into the sunset!

I must say, i totally agree. Until the little girl is found, the family will never be able to move on. It is a tragic, tragic thing what has happened, and the family should NEVER be held even remotely responsible, i  sincerely hope that one day, little Madeline and her loving family will be reunited. It is heartbreaking.

The abduction theory is no more obvious than any other theory...it's plain speculation as there is not a shred of substantiated evidence to support it.  The plain FACT of the matter is, we simply do not know what happened to poor Maddie.  If you do know...perhaps it would be an idea to contact the police as you seem pretty sure?????  However, feel free to continue speculating if you do not know Smile

Many people were at fault before and throughout the investigation including the PJ but also including the McCanns and their PR team....not to mention the countless other people who have 'spotted' Maddie all over the world and were 100% certain it was her, but did nothing about it for weeks afterwards rather kick up a major fuss at the time.  It would be far better being embarrased over a case of mistaken identity than to know you did nothing at the time except let a vulnerable girl be taken further away from home to deal with potentially unspeakable experiences.

I don't particularly like the McCanns but i'm also NOT a fan of joining in the mass hatred against them either.  The vile stories and campaigns that were spread about them were grossly unfair as well as extremely distasteful.  Many people seem to have forgotten that there is a child at the heart of the story.

'Perhaps it would be an idea to contact the police as you seem pretty sure?????'. Nickster what a stupid thing to say.  What I believe is that some low-life creep took the child out of her bed so in my opinion she was abducted and I find it very hard to believe anyone in their right mind would think the McCanns had anything to do with it.  I can't see what other theories you are talking about but I agree entirely with you about the rubbish investigation that went on afterwards and actually I don't think anyone has forgotten that this is all about Maddie.  I was just trying to make the point that the McCanns have suffered enough and all the vile stuff that has been said and written about them is just so cruel. What is the point of it?  They are just two people who made a big mistake and they will live with it forever but all they want is their daughter back.

Ok..so have you gone from pretty obvious abduction to a speculative guess on the events that occured on 3rd May 2007??  Hmmm if that's the case, I think it's a little unfair to call my comment stupid.

As for the other theories, there's plenty of speculative stories on what may have happened.  All have varying degrees of plausibility, but as far as i'm concerned, they're all just speculation due to the lack of physical evidence or credibility..same as the abduction theory.

I agree that the McCanns have suffered not only a terrible loss but hugely damaging character assasination since they made their 'mistake' but many argue that their mistake should have been punished as a criminal act of neglect.

Anyway, I don't intend on falling out with anyone over this tragedy.  I respect other opinions on the matter but just feel there is too much left unknown or unanswered to be able to work out what may have happened...afterall, the McCanns have spent millions and have made absolutely no progress at all.

    Re: madeline

No Nickster we are not falling out, we just have different opinions but I just want to clarify your comment which I thought was stupid. It's the one where you told me to go to the police. Why would I go to the police just because I believe Maddie was abducted, if I had any information THEN I would go to the police.  Yes the McCanns have spent millions but wouldn't you if it was your kid, I would never give up and it doesn't look like they will either.
