    About (and to) Susan Boyle

What an inspiration!!!  Susan Boyle does not need to change a hair, or anything else about herself unless SHE wants to do so.  If I were blind, that wonderful voice would still pull at my heart strings.  But to SEE her as well, with the perfection of styling and delivery that shines from this lovely, humble woman; well, this is a once in a lifetime experience.  In all of my 71 years, no performer has EVER brought up the emotion in me the way Susan did, and continues to do.  I have never taken the time, or been interested enough, to do what I am doing right now, which is to write about a performer.  I have never been a "fan" of anyone.  I am happy that I am able to experience Susan Boyle in my lifetime.  I do hope for Susans' continued success, and pray for her well being.  Best advice--Pace yourself Susan; don't let yourself be pressured into doing something you are not ready for.  You are a wonderfully successful person just as you are.  There is not another thing that you need to do to "make your mother proud".  I just know that she already is.                                        Best regards, Shadow304

Re: About (and to) Susan Boyle

Whilst I admire her bravery for going on the stage in front of millions looking like she does (or perhaps shes not aware of it) I still dont think her voice warrants all the adoration  she has been receiving.  It is a very pleasant voice, timing and pitch good, but not that special that she has to become an international star overnight.  And yes she does need to change the way she looks and even she admits she likes the changes already made - why make her stand out like a sore thumb - thats selfish - the girl needs to update her look.

I dont think we should say how someone looks is not important when clearly in this case it is - why pretend its not - its true to say that she has got more publicity and followers because of her old-fashioned way of dressing and her behaviour displays a naivety and unworldly presentation bordering on what one poster termed as learning disabled.   This makes her a special but vulnerable person.

I do hope they do not exploit Susan because it will have dreadful consequences not just for her but for her whole entourage.

hi shadow 304, susan is only the third   singer  in my life [I am 68]to stir my inner sanctum, music is my religion ,it is the only thing that makes me feel spiritual. Susan doesn't have to listen to anyone but herself, she only has to sing, Susan has a beautiful expressive face when she is singing, I hope she sings a Scottish song on her first album.

I would rather listen to Susan talking about her cat ,than some of those 'think they're beautiful woman', talking about themselves.
