He knows exactly what he's doing unlike his totally clueless predecessor

Well his bringing back of Cain Dingle hasn't come up to expectations, instead of a scary international criminal we have just got a grubby gum chewing yob.  Now Charity is to be dragged back as well.  I like the Wyldes but hope the much hyped James Sutton's acting is to be a bit better than shown in the clip. 

Cain was never likeable. Also, he's been back a month, and you can't rush character growth in a month.

Gavin seems to be taking us in the generally the right direction just needs to upgrade some of the writing still though and cull a few of the characters.

If Gavin gets shut of Bob and Jamie I will join his fan club, however, I hear there are stories planned for Viv's return.  Viv is another one whose return I am not particularly looking forward to.   It be interesting to see how they play this as she cannot work in a Post Office with a criminal record, especially fraud. 

Yes if she comes back and works in the PO I will lose what little respect I have for the writing !

I agree with you, please get rid of bob, jamie and because viv is coming back then later send them away together in a disaster or something. also get rid of a few more characters and i must admit is cheap to have a person who worked for corrie previously now join emmerdale, soaps always seem to copy each other regulary with weddings and stuff. and i hope james sutton is good, but is cheap for someone to be in another soap not long after they've left a previous soap. on digitial spy, we FINALLY see a interview with something to do with ermmerdale, (as ive not interested in hollyoaks for one thing). anyway  i dislike the idea of charity coming back too, theres too many dragging past characters across soaps, obviously trying to give them work in these times, although i like cain back though.

i think they should send jamie of to aus to try to work things out with louise then he gets eaten by a  shark or a croc , then bob can go and identify the body ( to make sure it is jamie and therefore he couldnt ever be brought back to emmerdale) and then bob decides to stay in aus. no more farfetched than some of the rubbish weve had to endure lately lol.

Yeah perhaps there could be a DVD of Emmerdale - Bob and Jamie in Oz - I am sure we would all rush out to buy it. 

I'd buy it if sharks also starred prominently

I love Emmerdale for its happiness, love and village  life.

 

`~Those normal, traditional, great characters like Genesis, Jamie, Terry, Edna, Betty and those other wondeful characters are what the show needs!

 

Please have them on more instead of Nathan characters

haha im surprised you've said this actually. i didnt think you would like his work either!

 

from what ive seen (havent seen it in ages) he has done good for the show. i spoke to him at the emmerdale fan club weekend and he told me he had lots of plans for the show and he was really keen to make it better. 

 

but i thought i should tell you if he was there before matthew got killed off he wouldnt have left when he did

Matthew had to go... he'd done everything. I wish people would see that. Had he have stuck around, I'm sure he would have already had affairs with Natasha, Maisie and Faye. lol

Jimmy and Carl had more scope for storylines than Matthew did. It's just that simply.
