roborules:sorry you feel that way but i like danny and i'm really surprised you all didn't say helen because this isn't about the actors, this is about the charaters sorry for the complaint.
Personally i never liked the character Danny, i mean i call him Super Danny Bond because he is so un-realistic and too much like a comic book hero - James Bond type character where nothing can hurt him and he is un-touchable - it gets really boring and a show like Primeval needs characters theat are realistic and also dynamical which Danny is - i think he'd strugglw to even make it to 2 dementional let alone 3. He has no real emotional level that has even been believable, i mean i have a feeling the foundations of the character could of lead to something good but that is something Danny is not.
Helen is hard to explain. Although in one concept i don't actualy 'like' her as a character, she is well to put it plainly a bit evil 
and she killed Cutter, terrorised the team and let the raptor get her and not Danny (darn it - now that would of been a twist in the story if the raptor got Danny instead 
). But i can distinguish from that and accept the fact she is a brillant and well written and acted character. She is 3D and although she seemed have a sudden, bizare and insane change in motives in season 3 she still had so many levels to her and well played to the evil one well and show like this nees a villan and Helen plays that and more as she is not just your sually 'Christine Johnson' or comic book villan she is unique in herself.
