Sad news that reece is quiting his role so he doesn`t get typecast. I thought he already was. i only really remember him from home to roost. I know he`s been in other programmes but i know him best from that so for me its a little late to be worrying about that don`t you think.

How ridiculous, he hasnt been in anything that I can remember since that thing with John Thaw back in the 90s, you would have thought he would have been glad of the work, no pleasing some people!  Not sorry to see the character go either, Joe has become a miserable old bore.

I think this is the reason he is quitting - they have totally destroyed the character and he must be screaming 'hold the door open for me to leave quick'.

He has said how much he loved working with michelle but since the corrie writers have ruined the character of joe, he probably doesn`t think much of them and who can blame him. He came in a successful business man, now he`s a wreck, with a constant bad back problem. Reece is a very good actor serious and comedy and corrie was lucky to have him and they`ve ruined it. Nice one corrie!!

Quite a few Corrie actors have asked to be killed off and have never done anything much since, Christopher Quentin (Brian Tilsey) an example,  Also didnt Rob Collier who played Liam Connor also ask to be killed off also in fear of the dreaded "typecasting" and hasnt been seen in any thing since.  OK the character may be made to look bad but its regular work, hope its the right decision Reece!  

Reece has been in a lot of other shows so i don`t think he`ll have a problem plus i think he does a lot of theater work so he`ll be ok. I was just surprised that he said he wanted to leave for fear of being typecast, like i said previously i only really remember him from home to roost which i did enjoy. he was good in that so i hope he does more sitcoms.

He`s probably left because he realized how bad the writers are. They couldn`t even give him a decent storyline so they reverted to the classic bad back and ruined business one. Reece didn`t leave for fear of being typecast, he left for fear that he might not have a career if he stayed any longer, he was too nice to say that though.

Has he left already or is he still lurking around moaning and groaning?  What will Chipmunk-Face do now that yet another man has been scared off by her eejit family and her general annoying-ness?  Perhaps she'll move and take David and Audrey with her, leaving the dapper Ted who is the only one of them worth a bean!

This storyline is driving me mad. Have none of the scriptwriters heard of a TENS machine?

When does reece actually leave because it seems ages since it was announced.

He arrived in a suit dressed to the nines and in a car . He soon  deteriorated and became a kitchen fitter . How many kitchen fitters do you know who wear suits? Do the writers not think we will notice the discrepancies ?
