Why on earth does Emmerdale never win in the best soap categeory? The show is way better then Hollyoaks, Coronation Street, Home and Away, Neighbours and EastEnders. What is your favourite soap and why?

I'm a big Emmerdale fan but I think I understand why it doesn't win awards. On the whole Emmerdale fans are less likely to vote because IMO we are older and more sensible with our cash
