    Vuelta

Hey cycling fans ...........I feel like I just had a holiday romance with you lot and we all agreed to keep in touch!!! ........And didn´t!

Is no one else following the Vuelta? OK it´s not the T de F, and comes right at the end of a hectic season´s racing but it is proving to be a fascinating tussle of a race this year with exciting "races within races". A great number of the major stars are not there but we have a chance to see some of the up and coming youngsters and some of the teams who will provide stars of the future.

    'Is anyone following the Vuelta"?.

Love to, unfortunately none of the British free to air channels are showing it. so much as I'd like to, I can't.

Glad to hear you're  enjoying it though.

    Big Smile

    You are so right!

I'm trying to keep a track of things online but it's not the same is it.

Tour of Britain though? What about that - anyone been? Any thoughts. Nowhere near the high elechons of Le Tour but surely a change to find the young stars.

Re Vuelta, I can't get it either and because of zero press coverage, didn't even realise it was on. Been following the Tour of Britain via ITV4 highlights (not quite up to TdF standard - Ned does a valiant job but he ain't Gary, nor are Porter & McCrossen the new Liggett & Sherwen - yet) and would have turned out to cheer them on if it had come anywhere near me but the SE got left out this year. Good to see Geraint Thomas back on form, Ben Swift looks a good prospect, I hope we see more of that mad Belgian (De Gent?) and of course Boasson Hagen is a star in the making. Be interesting to see him go head to head with Cav, his former team mate, in bunch prints next year, especially if Team Sky get the nod for the TdF.

Keep smiling, y'all. Only just over another 9 months till TdF10.
