Well..... I don't suppose I am much help, because I'm not a huge chinese food lover.

I usually have, chips, a small slice of cheese or egg fu yung! See exciting! Don't have it that often, as I just don't really LOVE it at the moment.

What about, spring rolls? Egg or cheese fu yung, or Oh, when I ate meat, we used to have this thingy between me, mum and Lu, we were young so we didn't eat a lot! It was chicken in a lovely crispy salty coating, peas, sausages, bacon, pinapple ring in batter and chips! :D Lovely!

Every chinese sells different, so! Just try something new?

My favourites are crispy chicken and bbq pork with salt and chilli, Chow mein, or chicken in satay sauce! I always have chips instead of rice and get a carton of garlic spicy sauce to dip them in (doesn't taste garlicy though).
Like PB says every chinese is different so give it a try.

Ooh you've made me want a chinese sooooo much now...lol!
    :D :D

I'm not much of a one for trying new foods, whenever we go to the local chinese/cantonese I always have mushroom curry with egg fried rice lol, prefer an Indian really.

    Re: chinese tonight - help

A Golden rule - Never buy curry or fish and chips in a Chinese restaurant they don't know how to      make it. Stick to Chinese dishes and you will rarely be disapointed. If you go to France or Spain don't bother with the Chinese restaurants they can't hold a candle to the ones we enjoy in England.

I wonder if it is still the case? If you drive from London to Birmingham to Manchester to Liverpool the Chinese Restaurants steadily get better and better and the very best were in Nelson Street Liverpool.

It seems the cooks arriving from China got off the boats in Liverpool.
