I cannot believe the writers brought back this boring and rather odd character and actually had Fizz marry him.  Are we to believe they wont move away but will live on the street where most people despise them?  Fizz was such a great character with so much scope and she is going to be ruined now by becoming Mrs Stape.  

It's certainly going to be interesting him living on the street. I wonder if Chesney is going to move in with the Windass clan because although he went to the wedding, he did it for Fizz and not because he's ok with her and John.

I did read somewhere, err, TV mag, website, here, I dunno, that Ches warms slightly to John as he sees that he really does love Fizz. I also read in the same unknown source that Ches does move in with the Windasses.

I think it was rather selfless of Ches to go to the wedding in the end, he really did do it for Fizz and for the greater good, and you could see at the 'surprise party' after that he wasn't a happy bunny, hadn't exactly had an epiphany but had felt that he had to do the 'right thing' by Fizz
