I've just read that actress Maggie Jones, who plays Blanche is seriously ill in hospital. I would just like to wish her a speedy recovery. She plays my favourite character. She really is a funny actress. Get well soon.

Get well soon Maggie.  I cant contemplate Corrie without Blanche!!  I read somewhere that the actress had a fall in the hotel she stays in while filming.

She had that fall some time last year, this illness is completely different. Hope she gets well soon, will really miss Blanche.

Marvellous actress - we all have a part of Blanche in us. Speedy recovery to Maggie - and may it be a full recovery from whatever it is.

More great "tea time at the Barlows" scenes yesterday.  Now that Blanche has opened her big mouth, I reckon George will try and take Simon saying Leeane and Peter are unfit. 

I thought that and then he came back bearing gifts and apologies. Perhaps though, he is just getting them back on side whilst he plans his next move....

Loved Simon's remark  'What have you done to your face Granny'  Only Blanche would flirt with a guy with his wife sitting there!  He definitely has ulterior motives splashing his money around like that, but just because he has money doesn't mean he would be a better parent than Peter.

Do you think George will try to 'buy' Simon from Peter - by offering Peter the money for the bar that Peter wants to open with Leanne?  Or perhaps he'll invest in the business on the understanding that he gets to see Simon regularly?  There's got to be some reason for the Peter/Leanne business venture to have emerged as a plot point.

My take on it, pretty much as soon as he arrived, was that he would be the one to lend them the money to go ahead with the bar. Others seem to think he will try to take Simon away, I hope that's not what it's all about

Whatever show Anthony Valantine appears in these days he is a baddie, so I am waiting for the evil to start.
