It is just so far from reality that Carla would ever arrange to meet Tony Gordon, a man capable of killing those who get in his way, in secret, then proceed to present him with an ultimatum. Did she have a gun hidden beneath her coat? Or did she have back-up hidden behind the trees when she met with Tony?

I mean he is just so obviously going to try and kill her now, she might as well have drawn a target on her back.

I think that the scripwriters could have been a tad more subtle with this one.

 

Also where is the proof?  I know Android banged on about the police investigating Tony and Jimmy but on what grounds?  To all intents and purposes Tony is a respectable plausible businessman and a verdict of accidental death was announced.  It couldnt be proved that Jimmy knocked down Liam whatever Carla now says. Would the usually dozy Weatherfield soap police really bother to investigate this year old case?  They would just think it the rantings of a jealous woman imo.

Didn't the police already investigate when Maria was so, so sure he had had Laim killed and he managed to wriggle out of that one. 

Of course Tony could tell Maria about Carla's return and her insane rantings about his involvement in Liam's murder, turning the tables on Carla, insisting that she is out of her mind with jealousy, and judging by Carla's previous attitude towards Maria this would not be too hard to swallow.

But of course he won't because there would be no storyline in it, instead he will do everything to silence Carla, including hiring Jimmy to murder her as well.

Looks like Maria is set to rival Gail when it comes to an unbelievably unlucky lovelife.

I am actually a bit surprised that the normally ultra cool in total control Townay (as Carla calls him) has freaked out a bit about this.  If he had kept his head and fronted her out, I doubt if she could have proved a thing and it would have been put down to the jealous ramblings of an unfaithful wife. 

 How scary did Carla look sitting in the car in the graveyard yesterday - very Halloween!!

Seems that Carla has short memory loss - she and Paul covered up a death in the factory when one of the imigrant workers collapsed and fell down the stairs because of the extra work they were making her do.  I know it wasn't murder, but it also means she isn't whiter than white.
