    Best Dish Finals Judges

I do hope the contestants never see the Judges that have been drafted in for the finals. I've never seen such a sour faced bunch in all my life. They all look as though they have been chewing lemons. A smile cost nothing and it doesnt mean you going soft in your judgement.

They seem to think that being a food critic gives them a God given right to be downright rude and get away with it, they are arrogant in the extreme. Just a an example, William described the tandoori chicken wraps (title not exactly right I know) as "a rank takeaway" which I personally thought was a disgusting comment to make

I cannot be bothered to start a new thread so I might aswell carry on, on this one.So Murray won!! good on him as I hoped that he would, only because I disliked the other 2 dishes/women.But I think it was unfair on the other contestants that the programme had revealed when Murray had first entered the competition that Murray had been in hospital through cancer, what has that got to do with the show?.Personally I think all these voting shows should ban any kind of sympathetic voting which has resulted in dubious winners in the past.I also found that the method of judging the final dishes were unfair, using the audience to judge the tasting of the food when in fact it was made by outside caterers.

    Nice lad was Murray

But I agree with the comment above. We said before the contest started that he would win it because of the sympathy vote.. How right we were.

We did not taste the dishes and all three should actually have won. They all looked delicious.

Had I voted it would have been for the starter. She should have won, Though the pie looked delicious and  despiite the men all saying how they liked the pie.they did not vote for it. And then surprisingly, the dessert wins.

How crazy is this competition. It is Britain's best dish and that suggests British  food and dishes and all these curries and such came into Regional finals. I know we live in a multi-cultural society and we rejoice in that and enjoy foods from around the world but this competition is BRITAIN's best food

We will not bother to watch it in 20l0.

Whatever the thoughts on judges, we rate this series well above BBC's Masterchef. It seemed much more honest without the obvious cut-ins designed to get us on the edge of our seats by 'to camera' shots of the judges emphasising the time remaining. We done ITV.

    Re: Best Dish Finals Judges

I think that is totally unfair.

He got to the final on his own merit, he battled through the heats along with all the others and won each one with his wonderful pudding.

Of course all 3 deserved to win, that's why they were there at the final, but without actually tasting the dish you cannot judge by looks alone.  All the recipes were superb.

I am very glad he won, there are not many 14 year olds who can cook anything, let alone cook a souffle, I know many chefs who crumble at the thought of making one.

Credit where credit is due, it was the audience who were finally deciding and it could have come down to only a few votes between them all.

You are being sucked in by clever editing to look like some other dish had won.  Just because it wasn't your favourite that won, doesn't make it an undeserved win by an extremely talented young lad.
