I was looking at F1 news this morning and apparently Vettel and Webber thought they would have a little fun by taking the mic out of Jenson during the press conference. Anyone read about it? lol it was classic.

This is how it went....

"

Vettel: I hear you are getting married.
Button: Are you proposing?
Vettel: I heard you will get married.
Button: You know, they write great things in the press. Thank you for that one Seb, but I am going to enjoy this as we often look too far into the future and I want to just enjoy this moment and then I will look to the future after that.

 

The topic, though, didn't die down down there. Asked later what they planned on between now and February, Vettel started the wedding talk over again.

 

Vettel: Jenson's getting married, we heard. So he's busy.
Webber: And we're all invited as well.
Vettel: Yeah, everyone.
Button: Next question.

 

The Red Bull duo, though, just didn't seem to tire of discuss Button's alleged plans as Webber had a behind-the-mike conversation with his team-mate while Button was talking.

 

Button: 'scuse me, I'm just trying to talk - you might want to listen to this.
Webber: We're just talking about your wedding day, mate. We're just trying to clear our schedules.

 

The Australian was ignored, promting a journalist to ask, "What's the date for the wedding, Jenson? "

 

Button: It's my birthday, did you say? By the way, I'm looking forward to my present, thank you very much, Bob. What did you call me before?
Journo: The World Champion?
Button: That's the one, thank you. I'm not getting married this year.
Vettel: Why not? You don't love her?
Webber: Clear up January, clear it up.
Button: I think some things need to be kept private in your life and that's one of them. Thank you very much"

Poor Jenson lol, bet he wished someone else finised 1st and 2nd.

Jenson did say on the red button that he was going to Japan soon so there you go. Not that I’m really bothered but if I were a jurno for heat magazine I would bring that as an exclusive.

it'll be great for jenson to get married as part of his celebration for winning the 09 drivers championship.

Good to see some banter between the drivers - it's Button's payback for stitching up Hamilton by challenging him to a triathlon (which, to be fair, I thought Button would win hands down)!

No, he doesn't feature again. They probably could not find another cyclist or skateboarder so he had a chance.

But I meant real F1 champions like Alonso and Raikkonen. At least we get Schumacher, Vettel, Button and Coulthard from F1. And some big names from other categories. Shame Loeb is not there, and I would also like one or two Japanese drivers.

Would have thought a future wife would have been by his side for the last two races ? Keeping on the good side of multi-millionaire Jenson is far more important than anything else she had on on those days.
