I think some of my recent posts regarding racer have touched a few raw nerves, they certainly wasn't meant to create the bad atmosphere on the forum we are experiencing at the moment and I do apologise for that. I know I am sometimes very outspoken when I feel strongly about a subject and will not make any apologies for the way I feel, but I am sorry if it was my posts that created the bad feeling on the forum.
This is normally a happy, easy going place to spend a few hours ranting on about the sport we all love, and by and large we all generally manage to get through the day without ripping each others heads off. I am dismayed by the way normally tolerent people are turning on each other. Please please can we get back to some good old fashioned driver and team bashing, funny pics and laughing at anames latest conspiracy theory.
A special mention for my mate humpy. I believe I now owe you and others a huge apology. I have said many times that racers posts are doing no harm, after seeing the way the forum as degenerated this evening, I was completly wrong and have now seen first hand how much damage can be done when people take differing sides in matters like this. Once again my apologies humpy.
R1 I still believe your tactics in dealing with racer were bullying and the same goes for Matt42, but at least I have now seen the light. I hope we can all move on from this little spat and get back to some F1 related arguing. I certainly wont be holding any grudges.
Racer 111. If you are reading this I hope you are pleased, I have spent many hours reading and finding enjoyment in your posts, I have even enjoyed defending your right to post and wrongly defended your right not to have to prove who you are. Hell, it was me who gave you your beloved nickname Fozzie. Do I feel you have made a fool of me? No. Am I angry you have managed to be the catalyst for people falling out in this forum ? You bet I am, and if you have any sense of loyalty or honesty towards the good people of this forum please provide some of the proof others are asking for or simply just take your knowledge elsewhere. I would much rather spend my time debating F1 matters and creating funny pics than having to apologise for the mess you have created.

I'm sorry, Frogster, I can't help but disagree with you that I have been a bully. All I have done is ask civil questions. I have not lambasted or been in any way rude to Racer, I have merely asked him/her to clarify a few points that didn't make sense. Oh, and asked if he/she had a camera.
However, I agree with the sentiment of your post.

Aww! The best part about falling out is making up! I'm just glad I kept out of it.

Brilliant post, redfrog, very well spoken. Personally I don't believe you have any need to apologise for anything, I think your 'outspoken' is other people's 'moderate', and I don't think I've ever seen an offensive post from you.
Interestingly, this whole mess started when aveli asked Racer to give us a post from a race he was going to. Before that, Racer had been just quietly providing the occasional post of good information on F1-related topics. But it would be too cruel to blame poor old aveli, he gets blamed enough.
Re the proof you've asked for, I don't think that will be possible. Anything that Racer could provide could easily be faked, so how would we ever know one way or the other. He has indeed been a catalyst, and that may not be entirely his fault. But, I think if he'd been a lot more open from the start, instead of using the 'neither confirm nor deny' policy, it would never have got to this sorry state. Heck, if he'd been apparently open and provided "proof" which people accepted from the start, nobody would have questioned him, and he could still have been telling lies. Ain't that an irony!!
I agree that some of the tactics used by doubters were bullying, and I was severely annoyed at being bullied. But I will take my lead from you, froggy, and I'll also move on and not hold grudges. I think it would be best if Racer didn't give us any more 'Hi from... ' threads, but of course he is free to post what he wants, as we all are.
So I second your request, "please can we get back to some good old fashioned driver and team bashing, funny pics and laughing at anames latest conspiracy theory." And I hope we'll be seeing lots more of your funny pics, redfrog, you're the best!!

Im grateful to you for allowing yourself to see the whole mess from a diffrent angle and for the apology although im still miffed that you are labelling R1 a bully, wether or not ive missed some of his posts regarding this I dont know. I believe R1 is confident, knowledgeable poster, he may come across as assertive on occasion but I cant recall a time were he has ever came across as being a bully, same applies to mat. I love this place and I do not frequent any other forum at all, ive tried it but allways reverted back here. Nobody pretends to be anything they're not because no one has to, its an easy going you are who you are athmosphere. What is even more annoying is Racer is probably sat there watching all of this and saying nothing. As I said in another thread, I cant stay around and watch this person be defended when good informative posters who I like to listen to are being persecuted for attempting to keep this forum real. Definatley dont want to fall out with you Froggy and you owe me no apology, I understand these are strange circumstances which are clouding many peoples judgement hence the rubbish athmosphere at the moment.

Hi matt. I dont think I have expressed myself very well. I think the bullying was more to do with the general way the thread was developing rather than the individuals involved.
Anyway it's friday, have a beer on me
No bother mate. And, much as I would love to have a beer right now, it's only lunchtime over here and I'm still at work. (And by lunchtime, I don't mean 4pm..... Hee hee! )
However, I promise I will raise a glass to you later on.

I'd like to echo redfrogs sentiment.
I cant believe I allowed myself to get wound up over a post on a forum. I think both sides in this argument have got a little carried away and made some comments that they perhaps know they shouldn't have.
I've been so distracted I even agreed with Aveli about something!

I fell for that too! You and I, of all people, should know better than that!!!
