thought the overall standard tonight was best of the series so far, couple of comments to make about some of the things louis said tonight tho before my thoughts on the acts. he keeps saying that he hopes the twins stay in to keep annoying simon, the thing is they are annoying simon for all the wrong reasons, its not because they are a genuine threat to his acts, or shouldn't be anyway. louis also keeps saying that they are entertaining and they are fun and thats what the show is about, sorry louis but its not, the show is meant to be a competition to find a recording artist, not two *** who wear costumes and run about a stage singing out of tune and dancing out of sync. lets face it if any other judge than louis had been given the job of mentoring the groups this year then they wouldn't have made it past the judges houses if they even made it out of boot camp.
onto the important bit
stacey - was ok, not her best performance but certainly not her worst, shes starting to look more relaxed on stage and is improving every week, just hope she doesn't run out of weeks.
olly - a good performance but agree with some of the judges that i would prefer to see him do something a bit different. still in my final three tho.
lloyd - woeful. i have been saying for weeks hes out of his depth and this will probably be his last week.
jamie - personally i didn't like it and gotta agree with louis that simon is bending the rules every week to let jamie sing the songs he wants to sing whether they really are appropriate to the theme.
lucie - always thought she had one of the best voices in the competition and like stacey is starting to look more relaxed and more natural on stage every week. another of my final three.
danyl - this was actually the best i thought hes been. he stopped all the cheap gimmicks and actually tried to sing the song, agree with dannii that he still tends to shout the words at points rather than sing but looks like he is learning. still not my favourite act but you never know.
the twins - another comic act. they dont belong on this show. they cant sing, cant dance and are being protected yet again by an elaborate choreography.
joe - vocally he was very good again but looked a little flat on stage, some of the other acts seem to be learning how to perform and how to "work the stage", he needs to be careful they dont catch him. the last of my three finalists tho atm.
so if theres any justice lloyd and the twins will be in the bottom two but i've been saying that for last few weeks. if either does stay lucky then i think jamie could be in trouble this week.
