Two british wdc, 1 semi british team, no british gp

no this is not another movie for jenson to sign up to, lmao but could be fact, we all know know that jenson has signed for mclaren, and the british press are now hyping up the fact of a totally british team with the two greatest drivers ( i reserve judgement on that part ). are we gonna have a british gp and for that fact why not move the european gp here as well, donnigton have now lost the gp and silverstone are as i'm currently aware still to agree to a deal for it.... we may have a dream team for some but the way its looking for the british fans no way to watch it live.

come on bernie give us what we need a great british gp and whilst your at it give us the european gp as well in the schumacher years germany had both, in the alonso years spain had both, i know we dont have a double wdc like they did but we have the last two wdc is this country....

so bernie give us what we need

I agree with that to a certain degree but I dont think it will be as bad as you think. With all the new teams and drivers entering the sport they will have a lot to cover. Before that was the only real breaking news at the time, now they have other interesting stuff to include in the coverage.

I sincerley Hope it doesnt become the Lewtton show.....Tongue Tied

It could be a massacre if Mclaren build a dog again!

seriously though, this feels .. bizarre! I havn't felt this way since Mclaren announced that Nigel Mansell was driving for them in 1995 .. and what a disaster that turned out to be. It seems like JB has thrown his teddy out of the pram and stormed off to the secret lover he's kept on the back burner just for such an occaision.

We are talking about a guy who struggled mentally for 50% of the season, struggled to see off Barichello for 50% of the season .. how on earth is he going to cope with the tearaway tiger Hamilton? I think that JB must think he's the best driver in the world right now, otherwise why on earth would he leave his world championship winning team, tailored to his needs for a massive dose of reality trying to hold on to a young hot shoe.

Well i think it could be good for Lewis though, he's got another half a second in him still and in order to get it he needs to smooth his style off a little, Jens is definately the man to help in that department .. not sure what he'll get out of the deal though .. apart form the £8million.

£8million didnt Shumacher get more than that for just turning up and polishing the car lol Stick out tongue I think relations with Mercedes will get stretched at Mclaren especially if the Mercedes GP team do well. I doubt they will be getting the works engine lol. They will get a form of it i would imagine but they will have to wait for any updates. Unless they use Mclaren to test new engine parts. Mercedes are like, thanks for the help we have getting what we wanted we are plaing some where else now. Thats the way i see it anyway. Mclaren should keep there options open i feel. They shouldnt have to feel obligated to keep the Mercedes engine. They should go and nock on Cosworths door lol.

actually i think you'll find Mclaren will get the works engine unless Mercedes breeches their contract with Mclaren aswell as the FIA.

I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that the FIA stipulates that customer engines have to be the same engine that the works team is also using, they can't do anything to the customer engines that reduces their competitiveness.

Mclaren are a big enough company and very experienced company who can handle the updates themselves if they need to. as for them knocking on Cosworths doors, it'll never happen and why should they?

Ron Dennis didn't leave F1 just because of all the crap, he left for a reason, to head mclarens new automotive section. the deal with Mercedes is to supply engines till 2015 if required and beyond 2015 if required. This is so that Mclaren will have plenty of time to do what they are going to do. and that is to Construct their OWN engine, they have already designed engines for their new Supercars, that's 1 of the reasons there became friction between mercedes, due to competition in their sports/super cars industry.

their next step is and will be to Construct their own F1 engine to power their own cars with. they then will not be partnering mercedes anymore and will become manufacturers themselves and have their own Works team with their own engines, gearbox and drive trains..

I don't know why a lot of people really dislike the TV enthusiasm for Louise and Jenny. The brits should be able to enjoy it. 2 brit GP's it should be, provided it is not a street circuit. Silverstone and Donnington would be great.
